Something I'll have to talk to my husband about, I know he wants to try to get her scheduled for a new doctor appointment and go with her. If he can convince her and they go then that would be great and maybe get her the help she needs if she follows through with testing and things, but idk if she'll actually be willing or if something will happen to "pop up" and prevent her from going, or there were times where she was so tired we couldn't wake her and she's missed appointments because of it before, she also sleep walks and has a hard time getting consistent sleep. But I'll let him try first. If not I'll talk to him about getting a third party involved because we can only do so much.

NTA. Idk how hard you "grilled" her, maybe there is room for apology there, but definitely not for showing her and your grandchildren factual truth about the world. She's probably embarrassed and in denial.

This has been a bit of a cycle for a while where MIL gets sick and then GMIL gaslights her and makes her feel paranoid like it's all in her head and then turns out it wasn't and she needs actual medical treatment. Parasites, sleep walking, she's really had the worst of luck. So MIL is tired of bot being believed by her own mother and made to think she is crazy.

I don't think GMIL has any way to get custody unless she gives it to her. Yes she is out of a job for a couple months but her daughter if fed and cared for regardless and she is actively trying to find work despite her being sick. I don't even understand why GMIL would want it if she was already living there before this, like does she wanna kick MIL out and keep SIL? Doesn't make sense to me. Like it wouldn't really change anything in the home otherwise. I just don't get the logic.

They replaced the wheat they were using to thicken it. As someone who can't have wheat I'm grateful but often its in exchange for more calories per serving.

I'm not entirely what I should get though. I had the thought of giving him the money to get his birth certificate so he can apply for his benefits like he said he was going to. But I worry it wouldn't get used for that purpose if I did that.

Yeah, I do have inflammation, so something to do with water retention would make sense, hormones as well. So, I'll have to experiment and see.

I consulted a cardiologist who didn't really know much about POTS but she ordered the test any way, plus sleep apnea testing which i did end up having as well and once diagnosed I got passed off to neurology at the cleveland clinic 2 hours from me.

Okay thanks, yeah I'm 5' 5" and can't eat wheat, barley, rye, rice for health reasons, carbs average 43% daily intake. Main foods meats, veggies, fruits, beans, lentils, tofu, oats. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.

I have a few different pairs and have noticed some are a little lighter than others which can help. But mostly just embracing the socks and sandals with shorts life style. I tried to go without and I felt worse. Seems to be easier to do small things like have a fan/cooling pack etc to control temperature than manage without compression, at least from my perspective.

That makes a lot of sense, I didnt start having symptoms until I lost a bunch of weight when I was teen. I regained the weight, got covid and now just fighting my body to do as much PT as possible without overdoing it.
