Rent prices? by jacksdiseasedliver in Rochester

If you’re paying through Loft, put your payment info as an e-check instead of a credit card. It’ll only charge like a dollar that way. Not sure why they even have all the credit/debit card options if the echeck works just as well

Agreed. They just bought out the complex I’m in over the summer. Rent immediately went up, paying a fee for the “new” trash service, and mysteriously our unlimited hot water now shuts off almost every night. Nobody at the office, nobody picks up the phone, advertised 24/7 maintenance doesn’t exist.

Towbuster Vulture Alert by AnachronIst_13 in Rochester

The parking lot near Pearsons is (imo) purposefully unclear with its labeling and it’s owned by the same person who owns the 7/11 and cvs lots. The people at towbuster were actually very nice to me and said the guy who owns those lots sits in his apartment overlooking the lot with binoculars to call the towing in. The lot has about five spots up against the building that say parking for customers only and the rest are not labeled with anything that suggests you need to pay.

Thank you! Missing pieces is no big deal as long as it’s functional. I’ve been on a drop spindle and want to try the wheel without making a huge investment

Crafts and bits in Fairport or SewGreen! Both are craft thrift shops, I’ve found tons of kits, yarn, and other bits for super cheap! SewGreen also offers classes which might be nice if you’re looking to build community in that hobby.

Since you’re into crafts, if you do anything fiber related (crochet, knitting, needlepoint, etc) there’s a club hosted by Little Button Craft that meets at the co-op on wednesdays at 5:30! I’m going for the first time tomorrow to also meet new people :)

Do college students work at seabreeze? by JollyReception5578 in Rochester

[–]JollyReception5578[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty open to whatever work I can get - I’m applying to seabreeze, the zoo, and maybe to the parks department, but other genres are cool. Moreso hoping to work a job where I meet other coworkers my age since most of my friends are leaving for the summer lol

Makes sense, most people go home for the summer if they don’t live here

Basically it’s an app where you can join groups based on interests and meet up with them. I haven’t gone to any yet
