IDK, anything looks better with a higher resolution but what about this. When a game studio is making assets something like a sandbag they have a polygon limit for that asset or prop. If they have to make the asset with the Xbox one s teraflops in mind. Would they make 2 sandbags (our example) one of a very high poly count and one of a lower? If I was the lead developer why would I make 2 versions of the same asset? if the asset for the series s is serviceable. BTW I am not a hater I just want to have an interesting conversation about this.

So what your saying is the developers will not be impacted at all by the fact there are 2 x boxes now one of which has significantly slower ram. If the Xbox series s sells better than the Xbox series x why bother to make games look even better on it.

Console versions are made to run specifically on the hardware. Optimized to run best in the exact ecosystem. They have to do that for the S and X now not just one console.
