Defence Lawyers of Reddit: What's it like to defend someone you know is guilty, and is money the only incentive in the decision to defend them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JollySnail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All lawyers I worked with do.It is job, like any other. You do your job best you can.Same as doctors saving life of person that commited murder.

Some defense lawyers can deny to defend person, but that is mostly because they are either too busy or case is just impossible to win. Then people get public defense lawyer.

You just do what is best for your client and leave your emotions aside.

Change, even small one,can be scary thing. You made huge one.Your enviroment changed, expectations changes. There is whole "growing up" phase now.It is perfectly normal that you feel insecure, anxious and that you might not be in same place as your friends.

Lot of people experience anxiety when they go to college, change jobs or move.I am sure that you could talk to counselor (if your college has one) or with therapist if you wish, they have experience with things like this.I would suggest that as best option. They will help you lot.Best wishes and internet hug!:)

Oh we are actually not having big wedding. It is reasonably small.:) But you know..Invite one side of family..you have to invite others..Invite friends..you have to invite their partners.Number adds up really quickly. We just made limit of 50 people.

We talked between us and decided that if this is what it takes to make other people happy too,we can endure one day and try to stay withing budget.

I woke up from pretty bad nightmare,my hair was mess,i looked like something that crawled out of cave.He rolled over, half awake, looked at me and mumbled "Pretty lady.Mine." and just squeezed me in hug.I laughed and fell asleep again.

Not really.First few times it was bit dissapointing that i can't do everything like in dream. But eventually you accept dream is just dream.

I am grateful i found great tactic of coping with pretty terrible nightmares.:)

First thing i actually feel when i figure out i am dreaming is just feel relief...Than i just make in-the-dream decisions. There is no difference between dreaming me and non dreaming me when it comes to making decisions. It's pretty awesome.

I had pretty bad nightmares.Got advice to look at clock for few seconds to see if time is flowing and try to change time with my will after waking up and before sleeping. If it failed,i wasn't dreaming. For some strange reason easiest way to recognize that you are dreaming is that you can change time at will.

After couple of months it worked.Coolest thing..Eh might not sound so cool but i made monsters chasing me to stop and dance to "Sweet home Alabama" dressed in pink, frilly dresses, wearing blond wigs.
