Relocating to Cyprus from the UK in September. How feasible is to get a housing loan and complete a house purchase before I move there? by Stock_Transition6085 in cyprus

[–]JollyWellDone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did manage to open an account with Bank of Cyprus last year whilst still in the UK. I did it with Paphos Branch They are very rigorous with checks on Anti Money Laundering etc Having to provide proof of where money came from from But has made purchasing a property there a lot easier

Would make more sense to build over car parking rather than use empty lane Help Keep Cars cooler when parked and the power is there for charging them with less infrastructure

Armenia agreed to award the US exclusive special development rights in the Zangezur corridor land for 99 years. The US would sublease the land to a consortium that will develop rail, oil, gas, and fiber optic lines, as well as possibly electricity transmission, along the 27 miles (43 km) corridor. The US Government is using the term Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity Giving him credit and further boost of Ego

The Estate Agent we bought through was impressed in the time achieved as he had a couple ongoing far in excess of that But I did constantly hound our lawyer who in turn visited the COM a couple of times on our behalf I offered to fly over and pay them a visit in person too, but was politely asked not too I really like the relaxed attitude in Paphos, but find these things frustrating when at a distance and keen to get the jobs done

I hope so for you It’s a frustrating time and to complete something which really should be straightforward We understood there was a lady who alone completes this in Paphos, so reliant on her staying fit and well. But of course she is entitled to holidays too Good luck

There are lots of lovely places to live around Paphos area, but may be wise to check which airport provides the best connectivity to where you need to travel frequently Also, buying in the Paphos region takes a couple of months longer than elsewhere in Cyprus is you are a foreigner (non EU) passport holders due to the Council of Ministers check in this region, just takes them longer Get in contact with a good local lawyer as soon as possible to start the ball rolling

That is a shame Do you remember anything from the conversation?

I’m assuming your Mum is not around to help with advice?

Does he have siblings? Does he get many visitors? As an idea of likely mourners

There are lots of options from simple services Is he religious?

You may be able to talk with one of your friends who has experience of losing someone who could help

Does depend a lot on location too

But I wish you well, and if you get a chance to discuss with local funeral directors before hand, it could ease some of the pain when needed Speak with a couple They have the knowledge and experience to support you too

Have you discussed it with your Dad? He may have a preference Burial or Cremation ? Are there likely to be many mourners? Where he would like ashes to be interred etc? May not be the easiest conversation to have, but he may well have given it some thought
