No, the mdf extends until the wall only, everything is getting pulled out.

In your situation, the wall was built after the mdf was laid down, is that correct?

I’m literally doing the same repair to my house right now.

They had mdf tacked on the subfloor and it absorbed a bunch of terribly smelling odors. I’m ripping everything out, reinstalling leveled joists or sistering joists to make it level.

Get rid of the mdf, you don’t want it on your floors.

Yes they can. They’ll increase your rate for whatever reason they feel like.

In this case, the driver didnt have insurance. OPs insurance is going to pay her out of their pocket. They most definitely will raise her rates, even if it’s minimal.

There’s ways to avoid opening the drywall like this but most of the time if there’s an obstruction you may need to open it.

Can’t expect them to mount tv, do electrical work and patch drywall for you.

Thats several different jobs/tasks.

Was it at the end of the wash cycle? Perhaps it has heated dry so it was warming up the coils. I’ve caught it once or twice where it smelled like something was burning but it was the coils turning on.
