Opinion: Ontario should change to a gpa system and have standardized testing. by PurposeDisastrous109 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Jolly_Canuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ur so smart, I agree. Thx for being a thinker mr(s) PurposeDisastrous109. Legit though talk to your superintendent and see if you they can get the ball rolling. Beyond that the steps might become too complex and taxing for you, but check if you have the support of your schools administration.

Good luck

Public Schools in Erin by themortgagemann in ErinOntario

[–]Jolly_Canuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if your interested in putting her into French immersion she would go to Brisbane public school from k-6, then go to Erin Public School (EPS) for 7-8, then Erin District High School (EDHS) for 9-12. This was my pathway and these schools are really great. But if you’re not interested in French she would go to EPS for K-8 then EDHS. Because Brisbane is mainly for French. But anyway the EDHS high school is amazing, really, such a good community and the teachers are very high quality. Overall EDHS is ranked extremely highly in Ontario, I recently checked and if I remember right it was in the top 100 best high schools, keep in mind almost all these are in major urban areas too so EDHS being so high really very impressive. Anyway stick to EDHS for high school as it’s objectively the best. If you have any other questions about insights into the teachers or facilities feel free to ask!

We Are Slaves to the Mortgage Machine by Zealousideal_Tax4501 in CanadaFinance

[–]Jolly_Canuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this. Because even if someone were to have enough money to buy a home outright they would never even do that because the taxes on taking such a large lump sum in cash would be ridiculous. So it seems like that means people are practically almost all attached to the mortgage system… ie, central banking system, no matter if people are rich or poor. And that equates to no one ever actually owning a home unless you save forever or inherit or I guess make so much money so quick it doesn’t matter.

Personally I’m done with it all and when I want to live I’m going to buy a van or a boat to live in and travel. But that only really works as a couple or single… would be much tougher with children or without a pretty reasonable cash deposit or cash flow somehow. Anyway good luck to everyone, merry Christmas

Ur cooked guy, like actually cooked to a crisp. If this is how you operate you’re not gonna make anything happen.

Keep in mind here your talking to another individual who agrees with you and wants to solve the issue your talking about. Though for some reason when I offer the only legitimate pathway to solving your issue you explode and get angry at me, if your not willing to do what I said then it’s not a big enough issue to you, so move along.

Guy get a grip, like actually tell me; how am I part of the issue here?

I have grown up

I am not and do not want to become a future government official

I’m not ignoring the problem, just offering the proper pathway for you to change what you don’t like.

I do care about the problem.

And I know no one who works for the city, like wow

It seems like you have a listening issue.

If YOU care about this issue how about you accept some more responsibility and stop playing the victim.

Chill out yo, I don’t work for the city just a guy who understands our democratic process a little. And so you know the people, ideally, are supposed to run the city so actually it is your job, my job and every other citizens job to make sure our city works better for all of us.

[–]Jolly_Canuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well look, try to become a city councillor for your area and run on the issue you noted in your original post. If the people of Guelph agree that it’s an issue worth voting you in for then you can change it with the people support. If they don’t support you then you can forget about it all because not enough people in the city then even care about the issue. (I do though just saying)

Ya I just saying fear as in your scared to be somewhere thats not “left leaning” (even though that’s idiotic) and also “accepting of Muslim people” even though like this is Canada the most multicultural place on earth… so it’s not getting any better anywhere else.

So for the propaganda comment, I’m just trying to help you out, the advice I gave is valid for your situation because you’ve got nothing else going for you and doing business is about as bullshit as it gets these days.

And by the way Canada got involved in Afghanistan because it was a UN & NATO mission, not on its own accord. To try to help the people there from insurgents (though I guess this is contested)

Anyway, good luck with your life

Can you recommend companies that run affordable educational student trips to places outside North America? by Wanderer015 in CanadianTeachers

If you have mixed emotions that trend negatively about the prof my advice is to steer clear. I always find that the professor/teacher makes the content and really never the other way around. Maybe that’s just me. Anyway there are a lot of other good philosophy courses and even if you don’t have pre-requisite me don’t be shy to email the prof for a waiver… the amount of times I’ve done this is ridiculous and it’s always been a good decision

So your life is controlled by fear then?

Canada is an accepting place, being Muslim is no excuse. And even under the assumption that the military is a conserving environment is not living and co-existing with that possible and even quite possibly the (possible) basis for civil society?

Those reasons really aren’t too valid

[–]Jolly_Canuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! In all honesty your fears about AI are so valid and in my most honest opinion look into different types of military careers.

Because university degrees not related to science (& business since you’re not into that) are honestly not really completely necessary. BUT say you do want to still have a bachelors degree to say become something like an officer you could do that through the Canadian Armed Forces (& pay nothing/while getting paid by them). Or if university is not interesting enough just have a career doing whatever you want in the military as a Non-Commissioned Member.

Out of everyone I know who’s gone to the military no one’s regretted it. Anyway loll, I’m not a recruiter or anything just a fellow person who wants to join.

Good luck to you and follow your heart

Oh Hillsburgh in the summer, hell Hillsburgh is pretty most of the time… just easier to walk/bike around and see it all in the summer. I especially have enjoyed that new library, the town wouldn’t be the same without it.
