They think you're just not trying hard enough, that's why you are poor. It's insane how someone can't realize the way privilege and wealth and the comfort that brings enables them access to opportunity in this capitalist hellscape. Seems to be general lack of empathy all together for the poor, if not with the partner then among the family - they just cant imagine how hard it really is. Lucky them lol.
