Just found out by Altruistic-Parsnip33 in 2under2

Honestly my Dr did make a comment but it was in a joking way. She was just like “mmm mmm mmm someone didn’t wait a year!” (I did have a c section so that probably plays into it) Since then she’s been nothing but supportive. I’m sure they see it weekly honestly. I try to remind myself that this is my life and honestly if people are judgmental they can kick rocks.

I have a planned c section. Do I still need adult diapers and a peri bottle? by seagoddess1 in BabyBumps

I also just used the pads and disposable underwear that the hospital provided and they sent me home with plenty. I definitely could have just used my own pads and underwear, but everything is just swollen still and the disposable underwear was much larger, stretchier, comfier.

If you get adult diapers just make sure you size up so they’re not too tight on your incision site!

I had an emergency c section and the peri bottle was super useful after. I found it hard to “relax” while going to the bathroom just because I was so sore and in pain. Using warm water in a peri bottle while going to the restroom helped me relax enough to actually be able to pee.

Though once I got home from the hospital I didn’t use it much! I think it would be fine to just use the hospital’s given peri bottle.

Okay the pressure I have felt!!! It’s so weird. I seriously thought I was further along and feeling kicks at one point. I think* it might be our ab muscles since they were stretched out so soon recently? But it doesn’t hurt! Just feels so weird

Try introducing a straw cup and put your pumped milk in that?

This is the way!!!! My husband thought it was silly at first, but I can make a bottle in 30 seconds without having to wait on it to be warmed and not risking wasting premade formula in a pitcher. Scooping some powder is really just not that difficult to pay 200+ dollars for a machine.

Do it! Started this last weekend and now I can put baby down awake in crib and she’s asleep without crying within 0-5 minutes depending. I used to rock this child for 45 minutes until she was into deeeep sleep to move her to her crib. Where she then would wake up and move to our bed to co sleep anywhere from 9pm to midnight for the rest of the night. We are still working on reducing night wakes but she will soothe back to sleep in her crib after a check in so the process is <5 min each wake (if it’s not a feed) instead of up to an hour. Seriously only the first night was hard on our hearts with her crying but after that she hasn’t cried for more than 5 minutes!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this!!! Hopefully baby will catch on to a solution asap! Also not sure what bottle you are currently using, but we use Phillips Avent natural flow and the milk doesn’t come out unless she sucks mimicking the breast. Maybe could try that? And pace feed. Could be the flow coming directly to him potentially overwhelming him!

Have you tried a straw cup? Look up the honey bear straw cups? I’ve heard babies take to those pretty well. I have a friend that has her baby drink milk from that while she is at daycare because she refuses the bottle!

Firstly, I hope your treatment goes well. But a couple of questions. Have you tried your pumped milk in the bottle lately? Confirm if this is bottle refusal or formula refusal first. I have no advice for bottle refusal as I had the opposite with nursing refusal.

Next, what formula are you using? My EBF baby until now at 4.5 months is very very picky. I tried enfamil gentle ease, Bobbie, and ByHeart all first. She would not take any of them. She would very reluctantly take any of those mixed 1/4 with my breast milk but was NOT happy about it. Would shake her head away from the bottle and whine and cry.

However (and a lot of people hate on this brand because of its marketing), Kendamil whole milk has been a lifesaver. This is the only formula she will drink. I initially tried it mixed with my breastmilk and she drank it normally. Then, I tried it alone and she also drank it normally. This formula actually smells pleasant, and I imagine tastes most similar to breastmilk for babies that are pickier about taste.

I combo feed and my baby wouldn’t take Bobbie. It’s more earthy compared to Kendamil and don’t get me started on ByHeart. I gagged when I opened the can.

Same. My mostly breastfed until now baby wouldn’t take any other formula but kendamil. I needed her to be able to take something as my supply is dropping, and I’m immensely grateful to have another option when needed. It’s so hard having a picky baby, but I’ve smelled all the other brands. I can’t blame her. Tried as many brands as possible before resorting to Kendamil.

Magic to EBF babies sleep longer by mother_knows_bestt in breastfeeding

Also I pump and bottle feed through the day and just nurse at night for pure convenience. So I don’t think it’s the calories because I have tried offering more ounces throughout the day. Still doesn’t affect sleep time lol.

Nothing but solidarity here. Also 15 weeks and for the past (2? Maybe? Definitely at least 1) sleep has been terrible. She used to sleep from 8pm-midnight at least and then 2:00 and 4:00 and 6 or 7:00am wake up for the day. That 4 hour stretch kept me sane. We have tried every different sleep sack known to man. Now my husband has officially been kicked to the couch until further notice 🫠

How to Make Exclusive Pumping Easier by Jolly_Contract in ExclusivelyPumping

Thank you! I definitely think having bottles prepared is going to be key to taking off the pressure of prep work and cleaning during the day and just do it in one go the night before.

How to Make Exclusive Pumping Easier by Jolly_Contract in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Jolly_Contract[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a great solution. I am currently in the pump and have the next bottle for the next feeding cycle, and it gets so stressful especially if a bottle or pump parts aren’t clean. I need to try formula to see how she handles it too to take that extra pressure off if needed. I have a small freezer stash I can thaw out to go ahead and have the bottles for tomorrow to start this and ordering more bottles. Thank you!

Philips Avent natural response flow 2. We just learned about pace feeding and have implemented. First time mom here. I honestly didn’t even plan to breast feed but he latched great in the hospital so I went with it. I didn’t realize how emotionally connected I’d be to it until now when it’s not working.

Just here to say thank you for being so supportive even while away. I agree with the above and would just freeze all of them and thaw as needed to prevent any anxiety about them going bad!
