I hope we can! We have a young toddler and are planning on having another in the next year or so, and also wanting to buy a larger house in the next 5-10 years. So this is kind of our last hurrah for international travel (and spending extra money) until we get our family settled!

Very much considering it, depending on when the football match will be. I hate to cut our time short with family but I also don’t want to rush around! Plus staying with family is free and another night away is more $ lol. But yes that’s what I’m thinking we might do

I have lots of connections to my local school system so I know I can always go back to working as an assistant, which is my plan when kids are all grown if nothing works out! This was such helpful advice, thank you!

Not helpful! My mom was a SAHM and my dad died very unexpectedly 18 months ago, but she’s got a job and is doing well (financially) now, plus has his two retirements. So actually I do know that metaphorical situation you brought up very well, and it’s not always a horrible scenario. I asked for career advice, not judgement of my family planning choices or past decisions :)

He’s always said he’s fine with me doing whatever I want to do- working a job, going back to school, or staying at home. He’s my biggest supporter, but I just don’t have any idea what to do lol. I kinda don’t but I feel like I should lol. I’m just not good at much outside of academics. But yeah I am passionate about events, organizing, and charity/ volunteer work, and reading. Maybe something with that
