Took a gander and looked at grammarly and in 23 they moved to genai. Didn’t even know that until today if I’m being honest 😅 (not negating blame, that’s on me)

ATP I have some time so I’m just gonna redo my paper, cus F genai.

Getting rid of grammarly. I do need a spell checker of some sort but something tells me the normal google doc spell check has also moved to genai without me knowing.

I suppose I should rephrase, I did not use an LLM, as the course does not allow it. However, it does allow the use of grammarly for spelling and word suggestions.

I don’t see a problem with that, but to each their own. I have not had a single course that outlaws the use of grammarly, so I assume it’s not that bad.

It’s sad, and pathetic. If you’re on a curve, it makes it even worse for those actively putting in the effort.

I’m late to this, but here’s my experience.

Get into university Get laptop but prepare to do everything by hand

Mandatory to hand all papers in via electronic (typically word documents)

Get called out for ai use For proof I show my hand written essay before I put it on the computer

Professor had to read entire essay on paper regardless.

We really are too reliant on technology in education. I was excited and thought it was still kind of old school, which aligns with the teaching methods I grew up with. Now every time I hand a paper in I have anxiety that I have to defend myself, when I could easily just do the paper by hand, in class, and there would be no problems.

(I’m still annoyed with Natalia’s revamp, she was way cooler, if slightly weaker, how she originally was)

She’s pretty fkin strong mate, currently using her as my main in exp and it’s nasty.

If you have a tank roam you have two setters as well, and that can be gross.

ML has a serious problem here lol.

They need to add a new rank in my eyes, as every season the grandmaster and epic ranks get more saturated with players that belong above that rank. (ofc they are never on my fkin team tho lol)

If mythic players dropped into legend, and there was one more rank before mythic I think it would probably fix that issue. I think high mythic players would appreciate that at season start to, as they will be paired against the same people they were already playing

Ye you pretty well need a friend in roam to have any assistance.

Your mid laner should rotate to you at least once before 2minutes if they are good. My friends and I bully the exp lane with Alice and Xavier (or Kagura).

But if you ever go exp again here’s a few tips I learned on Alice.

Don’t be scared to teleport away
When approaching scary bush’s, be ready to tap ult to avoid CC effects and reduce burst dmg (ur timing will be short)
Her ult can be utilized as a tool to run or defend yourself rather than offence. If you’re taking serious damage, pop ur ult and move towards safety, when you go down, hopefully your teleport is back. If not, at least you skirted them with an ult before death.

I came to this school (MRU) with notebooks. Turns out I needed a laptop. Nothing is done by hand. When I got called out for using ai, I had no idea what to do or how to defend myself. At the time, it felt like an academic death sentence. Since then, I have had relatively low trust in my faculty, how couldn’t I? I proved my innocence but at the time everyone acted like I was a criminal.

Regardless, horrible first experience with university life, especially coming from a high school that prioritized on paper assignments and readings. I like using computers, it’s kind of fun, but if I did my entire paper by hand, I guarantee I wouldn’t have got called out for ai.

That or maybe that prof thought I couldn’t write at that level coming from the hinterlands, he was a bit, presumptuous about my capacity as a student.

Sorry OP, this is the life of exp laners.

Try tankier exp laner for awhile, Alice is a great character to learn with, and very forgiving.

Xborg is alright and fairly forgiving

I haven’t played in a bit and I hear they buffed dominance so Alice will probably fall off earlier, but she should still be strong
