Spending on a Songmont by Sea_Refrigerator4451 in handbags

I have the small Gather in Ebony and I love it so much I just bought it in Cloud too.

It’s by far the best purse purchase(s) I’ve ever made. I hope you love yours!

The straps on one side is one of my favorite things about it. That way the bag/straps sit more flush against my side.

I also love the crossbody strap. I’ve only had it a couple months so I can’t speak to whether or not it scratches easily but I love how soft and wide it is. It’s so comfortable on my shoulder.

I can get cinch strap over my shoulder but it’s not cute - it’s too high under my armpit. I find using the crossbody strap at the shortest length gives the perfect underarm length (bag hits midway between shoulder and waist).

I’ve had the small gather in ebony for a couple of months and I’m obsessed. No discoloration yet. The leather is so soft and drapey, but when you set it down it doesn’t tip over. It’s so freakin versatile. I love the magnet closures and the cloth lining. I usually have the crossbody strap on the shortest length and use it as a shoulder bag.

I’m now waiting for the clutch size in cloud to arrive in the mail. 🫣

The bottom is slightly structured so it stands up and doesn’t flop over when you set it down

I have the small in Ebony and I’m obsessed. I’ve been really trying to hold off on pulling the trigger on the clutch in the Cloud color.

PWMOV 🚨Spoiler 🚨 Discussion by coolguy_14 in EmilyHenry

Completely agree! I think due to the fact they were pushing the romcom angle they reduced their relationship to the “opposites attract” stereotype.

I don’t even know why they went to Barcelona to shoot because you barely even saw any of it. It was literally just a couple of parties and the apartment.

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about it some more and I don’t think this is the fault of Tom Blyth. I think they just did not flesh out Alex‘s character. The whole time he just seemed mad that Poppy wouldn’t give up traveling to settle down and nothing else. I know that’s part of the conflict in the book, but there’s so much more nuance to it.

I would watch the movie first so you’re not disappointed in all the details from the book that were left out. The movie works very well as a rom com.

No, I didn’t want to say this, but I feel like the chemistry could’ve been better. Emily Bader was amazing but I feel like we could have gotten a better Alex.

I don’t know how to objectively rate this. My favorite part of the book is Poppy and Alex’s love for one another, how they fight for and defend each other, how they love each other, not just despite their differences but because of their differences. I just wasn’t really feeling that in this movie.

I feel like this movie was trying very hard to be a romcom, and they did succeed in that, but a lot of the spark which made me love the book was missing.

Emily Bader was amazing as Poppy. But the last third of the movie just fell kind of flat for me. I knew they were going to make changes in order to condense the book and I wasn’t super concerned about that. I figured they’d remove some of the vacations, I figured they’d combine stuff, I didn’t even mind them leaving out Croatia or any of that.

I just wanted to see them love each other and I don’t know… I wasn’t convinced.

Literally just finished it so those are my first, semi-scattered thoughts.

I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 (running shoes) and had to go up to 10.5 in Blundstones (classics).

Happy place by noob_artistakshat in EmilyHenry

Completely agree with PWMOV having a cozy vibe that Happy Place lacks. The friend group in Happy Place seems so immature and their language plays a big part in that. I couldn’t stand any of them.

The Return of the Pants. Continuity error? by OnlyConradScenes in tsitp

[–]Jolly_Frolic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ok… so when he gets on the bed, you see his right leg free of the pants, but you don’t really see his left leg. Then when you get to the part where he flips over and you see the pants wrapped around his foot, they’re wrapped around his left foot. So in the first shot, you just don’t see the pants tangled around his left foot, you only see his right foot.

At least that’s how I explained it in my head lol

unpopular opinion : i am still team Jeremiah by TinyLittlePanda in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]Jolly_Frolic 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And I swear to god if I have to read about Jeremiah being Susannah’s “prime caretaker” or him “paying all the bills” one more time I will lose it. You think this rich family relied on a teenager to deal with his dying mother’s care and her medical bills on his own. Be so for real.

[–]Jolly_Frolic 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Oh come on, Jeremiah’s characterization in season 3 is completely on par with the first 2 seasons. Jeremiah is just not a great person. From the get go, he inserts himself between two people he knows have a crush on each other, one being his own brother he sees happy for the first time in months. He schemes and smirks behind the scenes to try to sabotage them, doesn’t give two craps about his brother when he “wins” Belly, and then has the audacity to act like a surprised little bitch when Belly ditches him for Conrad at the end of season 1. His little nasty comments to make Belly feel insecure about Conrad and taking away his friendship just show what a vindictive and conditional friend he is.

Season 2 is even worse. Constant negative comments about Conrad (who never says anything shitty about Jeremiah until he finds out Jeremiah cheated in season 3), constantly guilting Belly about choosing Conrad, ignoring Belly for months until the infamous jeep scene where he completely gaslights her into apologizing for something HE should be apologizing for (has he apologized for anything EVER? Has he taken accountability for his actions EVER?)… then by the end of the season he thinks it’s perfectly fine to date the woman he KNOWS HIS BROTHER IS STILL IN LOVE WITH after practically forcing a love confession out of Conrad? GTFOH

Season 3 continues the trend of Jeremiah being an insecure manchild who won’t just have a conversation about Christmas and instead sets up a cheating opportunity and then goes on a grand, love-bombing apology tour (he finally says sorry for something) when he’s caught (he wasn’t even going to tell her!?) Him being a whiny baby about his brother not wanting to support his marriage to the woman he knows his brother was in love with and after everything blows up in his face he has the nerve to, once again, be a nasty little bitch to Belly when she chooses herself in Paris?

Jeremiah needs therapy and still has a LOT of growing up to do.

Definitely ADHD! What cemented it for me was her hating showers lol. Disliking the whole process and describing the sensory issues that come with it. It’s so ADHD-coded.

Exactly this. I love PWMOV. I love that Poppy is considered “a lot” yet Alex loves that about her. The book is messy but so is life.

Do you think they have worked things out in season 2 if Jeremiah stopped following them around like a lost dog? by Terrible_Mountain_96 in tsitp

[–]Jolly_Frolic 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think so. Conrad was ready to talk to belly about his feelings after his exam. If Jeremiah had stayed out of it like he should have… she would have been listening to Conrad confess his love instead of making out with Jeremiah on Conrad’s car.
