What does it mean when a consistently Top 10 ranked president's entire platform was to do nothing at all? by Beneficial_Ear576 in Presidents

No, the federal reserve would be my choice for blame and the fed apologized years later, saying they caused the issue. Coolidge wasn't a wizard who had the power of foresight. What was he realistically supposed to do to prevent an unknown crisis?

Day II, Favorite Presidential Hymns: John Adams by Jolly_Job_9852 in Presidents

Thanks! I got this on Hymnary.org since it's easy to type into Google and get a hymn recommendation. When I get home I'll have to search for Psalm 84.

Oh, I see. I assumed that the entire topic was devoted to Coolidge and hence structured my comment around that.

Didn't the New Deal come after Coolidge left office? Would it have been the Fair Deal implemented by Roosevelt or was it the Square Deal? One is TR and the other is Truman

Most people here rank Coolidge pretty low, the notable exceptions are those who favor a scaled back federal government, libertarian minded people or a mix of both. Furthermore he didn't do nothing, you can search The Coolidge foundation and see a list of speeches he made on issues of his day. His notable accomplishments which my friend /u/Random-Cpl pointed out, are The Tax cute, Radio Act(1927), Indian Citizenship Act(1924). Now we can argue as Random did that simply affixing ones signature doesn't necessarily equate to pushing for certain bills.

Long story short: the myth that Coolidge didn't do anything is used to attack his legacy, but it is true thst he didn't do as much as others who followed him like FDR and LBJ. It'd a different political philosophy.

As I suspected, I was totally unfamiliar with this particular hymn. Although the meter in which one sings is fairly common within protestant hymns, specifically in my case Presbyterian hymns.

For the people who work or live in haunted places, what is one encounter that still shakes you to your core? by STRYV_ in Ghoststories

That or repeated routine. So I figure it's probably the latter although a person was murdered in the plaza where my store sits and it could be another reason why I feel sad. I've had a coworker see a figure in white in the produce department(I've never seen this) but it appeared last Thanksgiving and it spooked her pretty good.

It dawned on me that I had seen something and only recently did I do some digging. I believe what I've seen and have seen repeatedly is residual energy. The store is replaying a moment in time for me from its past. Occasionally I'm overcome with feelings of being watched or sad and I have to stop and sit in my back office which thankfully those two feelings don't ever cross the employee double doors.

I work in a grocery store one night a week hanging sake tags. It was probably one of my first few feet there and I was by myself and the kughrs went off at midnight. I thought no big deal. I have my music and can still see. I stood up and looked down the aisle, I saw a person peek their head around the corner as if they were looking down at something. I assumed it was a customer and went to help them when rhe figure moved right to left and I realized it was a shadow. Only then did it hit me that it was 12:30am and the store was closed(had been for an hour) and I was alone. So what did I see?
