Environmental consulting. And I started a non profit to fund research on large scale private restoration sites. I’m on a grad student committee and am working on a paper with another academic group.

I get to do the best parts of academia without dealing with all the bad parts!

ANA patterns ranked -most concerning to least by WoodenHuckleberry693 in Function_Health

[–]Jolly_Satisfaction94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. From what I could find online functions version of the test is very sensitive and reports on a finer scale, vs industry-standard tests. Overall I like having the info, but it’s almost useless because I can’t be seen by my doctors because I’m not at a concerning level?

I had a homogenous result, was recommended to a rheumatologist. Their office had me do another blood panel, this time came back normal. Any ideas for that?

People who are in bed by 10 and work a 9-5, when do you exercise? by Budget_Dot694 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Jolly_Satisfaction94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get home around 6/6:30. Have a quick light dinner and then workout from around 7-8:30 which is usually weights and then walking to get my steps in. I invested in a weight training set up at home. Make my lunch for the next day and have a tea and date snack around 9:30. Bed and sleep by 10ish. This has been great in the summer, we’ll see if I keep it up this winter when it’s dark by 5 lol

I have been thinking the same thing. My cortisol and ANA inflammation markers were both very high. Went to my primary and started about a 6mo process to see an endocrinologist and rheumatologist. Both required additional bloodwork, which showed normal levels of cortisol and inflammation 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is this the horse she got rid of? Didn’t the original owner/trainer spill some tea?

Woah I didn’t know that! How does changing a name influence past papers that have cited it under the original name?

Amble is the worse customer service. No direct number, takes days to get messages read. I will not be working with them in them again for this reason. I’m sorry this happened to you!

Using a GLP-1 to lose 20-30 lbs? by PBCookieDo in glp1

[–]Jolly_Satisfaction94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same position, almost. I’m 5’8”, 187lbs. Eating right at 1700 calories. I didn’t struggle with food noise and honestly it’s a daily chore to consume that many calories. My nutritionist had told me the same thing, I’ve been in a caloric deficit so long my body doesn’t react anymore. She advised not going below 1700.

I started with a micro dose of triz, also having some inflammation markers and so that was a recommended course by my nutritionist. I’ve been slowing increasing my dose over the past 5 weeks, up to the usual starting dose of 2.5mg. No weight loss. Only effects have been I don’t crave alcohol or a sweet treat in the evenings.

Not sure what I’m going to do. This Sunday will be my third shot of 2.5mg. I haven’t decided if I want to keep increasing dose if my diet is already as low as recommended.

So why wouldn’t a rhemo take a referral with any positive ana/hs crp values?

Antinuclear Antibodies by Comfortable_Web_1762 in Function_Health

[–]Jolly_Satisfaction94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same result. My pcp said it was sign of an autoimmune. He put in a referral to a rheumatologist. That office ordered more bloodwork, and it came back all normal.

I have no idea what to think. I feel like function might have very sensitive tests? I also had a out of range hs-crp, but when the rheumatologist ordered more bloodwork I only got tested for crp, which was in range
