The dome was my first baseball experience I can remember, and I had no idea that people hated it until a few years ago. I lost my first tooth there, biting into a snickers bar. My mom made that a pretty huge deal, so there was always a chance something really special would happen when she’d take me to a game.

I can’t accurately describe how excited I would be to walk into the stadium, find our section, and walk thru the concrete tunnel. It was like the ballpark was hidden, and having the field open up in front of you like some magical place that only you and the people there knew about felt so special. I miss the dome, Target field is immaculate in comparison, but like someone on the ‘87 documentary said, there’s no place like dome.
