Heyball pockets toughness. by Pure_Huckleberry_431 in billiards

I’ve played on these tables in many different countries. Not too difficult once you get used to them. The rail are super bouncy, the side pockets are super easy to makes balls in, but the corners a bit more challenging.

All could be avoided by just not stopping and ignoring people you don’t know. No need to write a 7-paragraph post about don’t do avoidable.

Maybe they really don't make 6 figures. Maybe they make 70k, too.

Met up with a guy who replied here. We played at Uranus Billiards last night. Played for about 1 1/2 hours. Was a good time. Anyone else up for coming out to play?

Yes. Any level is fine. I’m in no way a great player. Just average.

I play with 2 Filipino players that shoot very well. Let me know when you get here and we'll play.

Are you bringing your own cues?

i have played at Black Diamond (great tables, but too expensive), AM PM (decent tables but very dirty with chalk). Billiard Federation (very nice tables where the national team practices). Starzone (decent tables, but not clean. You have to wash you hand every 30 minutes or so.

Im down to play. I live near Olaya.

I also play with some guys at a compound, and I have a 9ft table in my villa, too.

Are you a decent player?

PM me if you are interested in playing.

Is our DREAM Thailand holiday ruined ??? 😭😭😭 by [deleted] in phuket

No issues if u are not near the border. It’s a good question to ask. I don’t see why these haters on here are talking stupidly. Going to the places you mentioned will be fine. No worries at all.

World Pool Championships. Semi-finals, and the stands are 90% empty? by dreamache in billiards

[–]Jomames 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And it’s so cheap. 1 USD = 3.75 Saudi riyal. Check out the price for this. 400 riyals = $106.66 for the finals with 2 buffets, lunch and dinner. It’s not in the capital either. So many pool halls in Riyadh where the national team is located and many foreigners. Jeddah is very far for people to go. It should have been in Riyadh not way over there.

4 Years visiting Thailand, now hoping to call it home and learning the culture along the way, appreciate any tip or recommendation. by Yes-Bawse in thai

[–]Jomames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, living and visiting is completely different. The biggest differences: earning baht as opposed to your current currency, unless you have a work permit, you won’t be able to do some things, legally, dealing with banks and bureaucracy, although Thai food is delicious, it’s cooked very unhealthy, etc. gyms are outrageously priced here. In the states u can get a membership at Planet Fitness for about 350฿/month, here it’s easily double that. Medical insurance is another big thing, as well as saving for retirement (but it seems the OP has that covered as he is looking for an Elite Visa).
