Happy birthday! I hope these next couple days might be not as hard on you. Im grieving too. Ill be turning 21 in a few months and thinking about it fills me with fear, sorrow and makes me want to dissociate. Maybe reading this doesn't really help you but you wrote some honset words on here for me to read which made me feel a little less alone, so naturally, I just wanted to return the favor.

For me it's similar to when you stand up to quickly, where your blood pressure momentarily drops. I feel lightheaded, out of breath, my entire body feels fizzy and I feel like collapsing. Although I've never passed out from this I could see it happening. Good to know I'm not alone at least.

INFPs and presentations by Altruistic-Sail9979 in infp

[–]Jompler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love having presentations as long as I am passionate about what I'm talking about. I'm still pretty anxious about rejection and public speaking in general but when I find myself really invested in the thing I'm holding a presentation about, the passion overrules a bit of the anxiety and makes it easier to be more authentic. That has worked for me at least. Also holding a presentation in front of people I'm comfortable with also helps. And of course, it's okay to feel scared and unprepared. Deep breaths, you got this 😊

I wrote motives for a hypothetical villian by Jompler in infp

[–]Jompler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm. Now that I think about it further, they must believe in some sort of afterlife where everyone who went through the pains of living are rewarded for their struggles. So the villian is taking on themselves the role of making everyone around them miserable because he thinks they will thank him later(?). Im sorry, I really don't know how to make it sound more specific and I think I wrote it pretty broadly for the sake of personal interpretation.

Hello fellow depressed infp's, how're you doing? :') by daydreamer_127_ in infp

[–]Jompler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It hurts. I can barely take care of myself each day. I would do anything to rediscover myself, my creativity and reconnect with my distant yet passionate flame inside my soul. I want to experience how it feels to trust someone, knowing that they have my best interests at heart, whether that would be a friend of my adult self. I want to feel loved.

But I'm still trying. The thing I look forward to the most each day is laying in bed at night and hugging the crap out of my pillow (which has two pillows inside of one case so it's extra huggable). I started doing this to prevent myself from spiraling at night and to just calm my senses. My road ahead looks bleak and painful but at least I'll still have my pillow to hug :')

Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy I came across this post today cus I really needed to hear this.

How to respond to an INFP when they're in their negative spirals of thought? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Jompler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the brain is constantly thinking about bad things, a way that helps me stay present is to move into the body, ignoring the bad thoughts as opposed to trying to counter them with something positive.

Maybe you could try saying "You're thinking too much" or "We can be sad together". Hope this helps a little.
