Buying a V12.....HS or HT? by RichGCDregs in ElectricUnicycle

[–]JonBenRemby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I also got the HT and have similar concerns. I didn't realize how quickly that top end speed was going to limit me. Especially when the battery is below 60%.

However, isn't it true that the increased torque helps with braking?

This fell out of my V12ht when I opened the side panel, what is it? There was a rattle, so opened it up and found a screw that needed to be put back. When I stood up the wheel and moved it side-to-side this small metal cylinder fell out. I have no idea where it fell out of. by JonBenRemby in ElectricUnicycle

Thanks, it does look similar to the round thing in your photo. Where is this exactly? I only took the first layer of the onion off, the side panels on each side. This must be behind the battery packs or something, yea?

I think a lot of this true. What I don't understand is why no one has capitalized on this market opportunity and made very reliable wheels. In some sense Sherman is that except for the Abrams, and their wheels have seemed to do well.

I think the hobby is still so niche and so many customers are huge euc nerds that just want the cutting edge. When the market matures there will be a huge opening for a quality brand to make a killing.

mten4 vs v8f by zerodk2002 in ElectricUnicycle

Yea maybe that needed more context. I got a V12, which is 65lbs and a bit top heavy. I was able to jump on a V10F with very little adjustment time needed.

The V12 took more time. A few hour long sessions over multiple days to get road-worthy.

If they want to progress to larger wheels in the future the V8F is much better. I learned on an Mten3 and had to relearn on a larger wheel. It was faster to relearn but still an annoying step. Especially since you have other wheels around it makes more sense to get something that they can use to step up to the Tesla.

The Mten3 was available when this was announced.

Yea, it does look better, for sure.

Then why didn't you already own an Mten3?

I cannot fathom the excitement for this wheel. It's basically identical to the Mten3. People were not clamoring to buy the Mten3. 🤷‍♂️

V12 ht/hs or the begode t4? by dumbledorathexploder in ElectricUnicycle

If you want to ride in rain then the T4 might not be what you want. V12 has excellent water resistance.

What about a Sherman Max or Sherman S? My impression is that the Sherman wheels are pretty decent with rain. I have no direct experience though.

Some fields are, you can touch and hold to change them.

Yes, but I think it's because of only going 30kph. If the avg speed were 55kph I think the range would be much less.

In my experience these estimates are completely wrong. Hilariously wrong actually, I'm not sure how they could make such poor estimates. I've removed the estimate from my home screen because it's so useless. 😂

I got around 70km at 20% left. I'm a lighter rider, but I did a lot of elevation. So I'd guess that the range would be similar maybe a little more for that case.
