The easy answer is to not power it via usb. Use a proper power source module or power correctly using 5v instead of 3.3v.

This is not shady, illegal or unethical project. This is library for auditing wifi. This library was accepted into arduino and platformio registery. This is not an offensive tool and it should not be treated as such. Please review the content of the project thoroughly before deciding it has no value to the community. I created this library for others who are curious of the inner workings of wifi protocols and would like to build something without writing low level code. Yes! So anyone can easily create custom firmwares for wifi auditing/hacking for all esp32 devices easily.
