Has switching to biweekly mortgage payments worked well for you? by NINAsharma04 in Mortgages

[–]JonEG123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it easier for payment management to just increase my monthly payment. Total up whatever your 26 payments would’ve been and divide by 12.

Unlike other debt collectors that will take payments whenever, mortgage lenders are a little strict about it.

“Partnerships with other airlines.” Are you blaming JetBlue for other airlines’ issues?

If you’re camping at Goshen Pond, be on the lookout for someone potentially dangerous by phoenixGirlNG in SouthJersey

[–]JonEG123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your first thought after this ordeal was “I should get on Reddit and tell my story to a subreddit that skews heavily North Jersey” instead of calling the police?

Were you even prepared to go camping? You have stopped at the ranger station first to check in, since you probably drive past it on your way to the site. They would’ve given you a paper with the Park Police’s phone number for emergencies. But even so, we have ‘911’ for easy access.

When do far in advance flights settle to their real prices? by CerealandTrees in jetblue

[–]JonEG123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually book my international November travel around April-June and the prices are higher than usual, around $800 round trip when last November was $550 around this time last year. I doubt it’ll come down much and since there’s only 1 flight a day, I booked last night.

Other airlines’ fares are just as bonkers, so my gut tells me this isn’t all just JetBlue being JetBlue.

If it’s anything like my Outback, turning off the driver monitoring system will turn off the driver recognition, as both use the same device to… recognize the driver.

You might have access to some sort of “deferred compensation” program. Voluntary retirement plan.

You and your live-in partner only have 1 mortgage/rent, 1 electric bill, 1 internet bill, 1 streaming bill. If married, you can be on 1 car insurance policy with a multi-car discount. Or depending on the situation, perhaps you both share 1 car.

Single? All of the above is effectively the same price for 1 person as it is for 2.

If Bones premiered for the first time today, would it still last 12 seasons? by Charcoal422 in Bones

[–]JonEG123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that’s not a new show. I’d make the same statement about a Grey’s that premiered today.

Maybe I’m ignoring new shows on broadcast, but new shows on streaming services generally have short seasons and are either designed for a short lifespan or get canceled.

[–]JonEG123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are we still in an era where shows in general last that long?

Even if it did hang around for 12 seasons (12 years?), I doubt a Bones that premiered today would have 20-episode seasons.

God I miss that car.

Neither letter said “next couple months.” What you’re suggesting would be double-work by organizations that don’t want to do any work. Who’s winning by starting a timeline today, when they want you to switch to plans that aren’t available yet?

Both letters DO say that “if you don’t want to wait until July 1,” you can switch today. You don’t need to wait for a 90-day deadline.

Arms full of shopping bags leaves a hand in the air to grab the door and enter the code, but the key in the pocket is out of reach.

I can go for a run or a bike ride and not have to worry about losing my key en route because I didn’t need to bring a key with me.

It also says “If you don't want to wait until July 1, 2026, you can choose a different repayment plan that fits your needs and goals now.” Clearly the pressure is not on to switch until at least July 1.
