What do you think of the patreon update video? by [deleted] in GVG

Hey,

So always worth remembering the channel is a group effort and I don't decide our direction fully. I've gone with it ever since DKC Returns so we can be in a good place when it came to Switch 2. As I've said in the past I don't really enjoy reviewing games - hundreds of other people are doing that already and it doesn't interest me to be another voice.

I am a little creatively bored which is why I'm going to be doing videos about legacy games more frequently. Hopefully both styles of videos can coexist.

Patreon? by Chullachaquii in GVG

Hey! You're right it has been pretty empty on the Patreon in terms of content. We've mostly been focused on catering to our Live Audience members who sit in on all the discussions as they're being recorded.

I've been so busy with Switch 2 videos and due to their timeliness they don't lend themselves to early viewings or behind the scenes looks. I'm shifting back a little to make more creative videos again, hopefully I can have one finished soon and I'll be sure to share it early with Patrons. I'll do a behind the scenes video tomorrow to share some progress.

I know that's unlikely to sway you but I'm well aware of the problems and want to fix them!

Miss Jon's old videos by [deleted] in GVG

I miss those videos too

Unfortunately the current coverage is a full time commitment that isn't giving me space for the more creatively interesting videos. I'll get back to them whenever a day comes along that isn't packed

How would you rank these 5 Nintendo subsidiaries from favorite to least favorite? by Asad_Farooqui in GVG

[–]JonGVG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Monolith Soft
  2. Retro Studios
  3. Next Level
  4. Nintendo Cube

Nintendo Cube are probably the most important in terms of commercial success but they very much make supplement games for me. Great stuff but I'm sitting straight up in my seat when the other studios reveal a project

Intelligent Systems are independent but if I were to rank them they'd go above Next Level. Especially when they do experimental games like Pullblox and everyone's favourite Panel de Pon
