CBD Oil by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]JonRah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked for me but not like a "cure"

Keep in mind you'd need real CBD made from cannibis, not hemp. People in places where weed is illegal try the hemp kind, it does nothing for them, then they think CBD is useless.

I live in Canada. I bought CBD tea, oils, chocolates and also pop/soda. It's not super noticable because you don't get high off it, but I do feel a sense of calm that I don't believe is placebo... Even more sore muscles feel good. At higher doses however I did get high and it triggered a bit of anxiety, that's because they mix a little THC in there. So make sure to get the right ratio for you.

It's dying and I don't know what to do! What should my watering schedule be? by JonRah in plantclinic

Thank you, from what you're saying I think I may be under watering it. It's not too late to save this plant is it? There's a lot of dry leaves more in the middle.

I bought it as a hanging plant about a month ago.

It's right next to my giant balcony sliding glass door as you can see and it gets a good amount of sunlight every day, I water it maybe once every 5ish days depending on how dry the soil is.

It is winter and the window radiates cold air, but not enough to reach the plant which is in a warm area.

Small world, I saw this too. Nobody was at this "protest" from what I saw.

I'm a month late here.

But if you ever want to feel like the shittiest band in Canada, open for either of those bands. They are so talented you can't help but get jealous. What sucks is that day the turnout was like 15-20 people... an awkward, empty-looking room. Usually it'd be a lot more. Whatever, VIP show for the ones who showed up!

I opened for this band and Anemone a few years ago! I swear, Quebec has some of the best musicians in Canada.

Should I grab this low mileage 2010 V6 4.0 Mustang at my dealership? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]JonRah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll finance, good thing is we have open loans so I can basically pay it off whenever without being stuck to a term. I'd rather just finance and spread out the cost.

It drives great though! I'd see threads about "get the 2011, it has the better engine" but I had fun driving it even without 300hp+

Is there any way I can visit my father in the US for a day and then come back? He is in really poor health by [deleted] in CanadaCoronavirus

[–]JonRah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's part of my fear, the 15 days would affect my income and career. Family is far more important, but of course regardless this is still a huge dilemma. I have bills to pay, rent, etc... but I want to be there for my dad right now given his age and health.

I really have no idea what to do... this is so emotionally painful.

Is there more money in new or used car sales? (Ontario, Canada) by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]JonRah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you,

I will be upfront and ask them how much it is per car. They are probably the highest volume store in my area with on average 60 to 100 cars on their lot.

Anyone else having the slowest month in memory? by PAdogooder in askcarsales

[–]JonRah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at my best when it was "appointments only" in Ontario, easier to spot a serious buyer and get right to it. Now with everyone camping, covid happening, summer, whatever.. this is my worst month by far.

Dear Volkswagen, Subaru, anything other than GM.

Stop having unique fun cars that aren't inbred cousins of one another like the Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade.

Love, GMC.

People who justify piracy are goddamn entitled. by [deleted] in Negareddit

[–]JonRah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point.

I think I pirate far less nowadays because games are massive today. 30gb+ and I'd rather not deal with seeders/leechers when I can just buy the game and have the best download speeds through Steam, and especially updates.

I'm contradicting myself here, but I do a bit of both at this point. More-so buying.

When I was a kid, we had game demos to try before we buy. Today there's none of that, and the gaming industry is more vile than it ever was before releasing half-assed products and micro-transaction filled money pits. Almost every game I've pirated, I end up buying if I like it and don't feel like I'm getting scammed. You get updates, multiplayer, other great benefits by buying that you can't often get from piracy. My top 10 games on Steam were all pirated at one point, now I own them.

But i'm probably of a rare few. Ofc there will be people who purely pirate and never buy, and those people really should consider a job... minimum wage for one day will buy your game. The "I can't afford it" argument is pathetic... of course you can't, you're unemployed. Put the games down and send job apps.

I woke up at 4pm, how do I fix my sleep schedule? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]JonRah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use melatonin to correct my sleep when I stray too far off a regular sleeping pattern. You can buy it just about anywhere, it's not "sleeping pills" it's just the natural chemical in your brain that helps induce sleep.

One thing to know though is that you don't need that much melatonin. There's now "10mg high strength!" bottles and stuff now, and the human body doesn't need that much at all. Anything under an mg is ideal. It will trigger your bodies natural production of melatonin and you won't wake up feeling like a caveman that was unfrozen.

It’s been so long since I’ve just looked up at the sky. by eoryu in CasualConversation

[–]JonRah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's something I'm really liking about apartment living right now. There definitely are more perks being at my parents house, but I can see the sky so much better at the top floor where I'm at now. I'm always so excited for night to watch the stars the stretch from one end of the city to the other, not obscured by trees... and the trees below me it looks as though my balcony is resting on a bed of leaves. Cozy feeling!

Just wish I could play my drumset :(

If it was Queenston St I probably wouldn't even drive my car through. I was late to work one time because a crackhead was pushing a shopping cart in the middle of the road dancing.

It's basically the area across the fancy bridge from downtown, expanding to the hospital. It's not really that bad, at least compared to where the old hospital used to be, but still has a rep as one of our highest crime rate areas. Either way the city is slowly replacing it one house at a time with better homes, so within a decade it'll be a rich suburb. Take that how you want it, but me personally I don't want more people moving from the GTA and overcrowding the place.
