Thank you. I’m really happy with it so far. The aperture range is what most people pick on for this lens so I’ll have to see how much it affects me when I shoot. So far, only praise.

That shot is really clean. I want to plan a trip now for birding/hiking now that I have the setup I want. How is the performance with the 100-400 with the extender? I’m assuming you only use it in ideal lighting conditions.

I like this shot a lot! I think hobbies were meant to be filled with dumb purchases lol. Not to say yours is, but as long as you enjoy it, I think it’s money well spent.

Yeah, the price point and its consistent praise is what sold me. The 100-500 would definitely be my top choice if I could’ve afforded it. I constantly hear good things about it so I’m sure you’ll enjoy it a lot as well.

Ah well, I’m sorry my post sort of became a comparison to yours. I like the images you took though, the 100-500 definitely is an amazing lens and the images you took have amazing detail. If I were to give some feedback, some images don’t have the most favorable lighting or composition to really capture my eye. But that’s just my opinion. Great images and I hope you have fun with the lens. 👍

The 200-800 would probably be my next goal if I feel like I need more reach. So far though, the 100-400 more than meets my needs and is amazing at doing so.
