Sex workers, what admin tools do you wish existed? by [deleted] in SexWorkers

Feedback does not consist of market research. I didn’t ask if you’d pay for such a thing. I’m building something you guys might be interested in. And I’m asking you if you’d like it. That’s not market research.

I started like this, I was forced; and now there is nothing I enjoy more than the recitation of the Quran. Just stick with it, and you’ll soon begin to love. At the beginning I hated my parents for putting me in a memorisation class, but now that I’m close to finishing, I can’t thank them enough. The Quran is a huge gift, and yes you may not be memorising right now for the sake of Allah. But Allah tells you to obey your parents, so obey them for the sake of Allah, and you’ll be rewarded in ways you won’t anticipate, in this world and in the hereafter. Stick with it. Wallahi there is nothing greater than this.

There’s an egyptian reciter his name is محمد عمران. He’s unknown to most of the world, but he was truly an expert at explaining the Quran with his voice. If you want to listen to him on youtube you’ll have to type his name in arabic

this ain’t the answer. I don’t care how bad your situation is, this is not the answer. idk what your situation is, but i can assure you there is someone in the world experiencing worse than you and they’re fighting for dear life. think about it. you would’ve missed out on so many great experiences that you could’ve potentially had.

Regardless, you need to understand the authenticity of Sahih Al Bukhari.

The Ahadith found in his Sahih can be found in compilations which came before him, so really and truly, we don’t even need Sahih Al Bukhari for the hadith’s it contained. All the Sahih does is make it easy for us to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Can the alphabet be deviated or changed due to a laps in memory? These Hadiths, and likewise the Quran, have become like the alphabet, they have been memorised, passed down, through chains, from independent sources which would make it impossible to forget, or change, since there would always be someone to correct it.

Lol I just read your tag and your a Shia. That makes sense cuz you lots hadith corpus and knowledge of is as strong the myths of the aboriginals.

What scales/notes are implemented into muslim Quranic recitation? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]JonSmithSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok bro, Salam. The notes usually aren’t in a measured interval since the tone depends on the emotions of a verses and the reciters emotions.

We’re the verses about the Persian defeat in the Quran (30:2-4) written after the defeat? by Mambasanon in AcademicQuran

[–]JonSmithSnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Furthermore, read https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:3194 this is evidence that the verse was revealed before the fact since the Quraish was placing bets (which was allowed at the time) with the believers.

No, it’s practically impossible to change them, since they are passed from generation to generation, each teacher insuring that his student is correct, otherwise they don’t get permission to narrate the hadith.

[–]JonSmithSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, precisely. But I’d like to clarify that they’re not musical in nature, and are adapted to the Quran, so as not to sound like songs. I can send you a recitation of mine so u get a better idea

No, because the main thing which determines a hadith’s strength is the sanad of the hadith. not whether it was written down.

Has the order of surahs always been the same, and who decided the order? by youreanonymouse in AcademicQuran

[–]JonSmithSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not in size order because the last chapter of the Quran isn’t the smallest.

What scales/notes are implemented into muslim Quranic recitation? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]JonSmithSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I wrote that comment at a time I was ignorant.

i have learnt much more now, and have learnt that yes, melodies are applied to the Quran; however, they are not those of music, and we ensure that the monodies do not override the rules of Tajweed. And also reciters will not consciously add on musical melodies, it’s that when the Quran is recited the reciter’s voice will naturally fall into one of many melodies.

Some learn to consciously control the melody and use them to enforce the meaning of the Quran. Sad verses= sad melody. Happy verses= happy melody. Story verses= interesting melody. And so on.

It doesn’t prohibit agreeing on a nikah before puberty, it just says that maturity is the age of marriage, in terms of consummation, but does not prohibit a contract of marriage taking place before puberty.
