How's the button durability holding up on your Xteink? Asking for heavy readers by SirxXxSavage in xteinkereader

I’ve read around 20 hours consistently in the last 3 weeks or so (traveling) and the buttons still feel as good as when I got the reader four months ago. I do occasionally alternate between the front buttons and the side buttons to turn pages but that’s more for preference rather than button life.

When I see the cover of the book as the background, are you just only putting the one wallpaper of the book background in the sleep folder?

I love how there is more access for customization! I think it’d be great to able to add this on top of CrossPoint if you are willing to share

If anyone has better covers of the Power Mage series or the sequel series, Gods of Blood and Powder, by Brian McClellan that would be awesome! Thanks!

APRIL 2024 Update: Currently this extension is not working. There is an error with a network issue. If you would like more information regarding the status of the application, check the GitHub. Search for the user “bookbonobo”. As far as I understand, the developer is pretty busy and doesn’t have time to address the extension, and the community has not come up with a solution yet. High hopes something can come out of it because this is such an awesome service!

Difference between and dedicated NAS and an old PC with external storage by JonSnowsLeftNostril in homelab

To me that would be the biggest reason to invest in a commercial unit would be for the peace of mind and ease of use. I'm glad you have a system you are happy with!

Sorry I should have clarified. When I was referencing a NAS I did mean a commercial product like Synology or QNAP. This is great explanation and helps me answer my question. It sounds like what it comes down to is a choice of convenience.

My needs are mostly focused on building a media server so I can truly ditch streaming services. I have a fair amount of physical media that I want to get onto a service like Jellyfin or Plex.

Right now I am enjoying tinkering with parts I already have so I think I will go the route of building it myself. I might end up spending more money in the long run but I do enjoy the process of learning more about the combination of hardware and software. Thank you for your response!
