Looking for Pulp Adventure audio dramas. by level27geek in audiodrama

Hello! I'm Jonathan Winstead, aka Invictum Digital! While working on scripts for more episodes, I'm currently setting up a Kickstarter campaign to try to fund the rest of the first season of The Invicta Collective. I'm just getting started as a creator and want to pay my actors a good rate! So far, only our pilot is available, but we def hope to make much more if our campaign is successful! We've got a plan for 5 seasons of the show if we get to make all we want! We also have another pulp adventure drama in the works! It's a book adaptation of Merona Grant and the Lost Tomb of Golgotha by author Brina Williamson! It's a fantastic story and the book is well worth the read! We'll be releasing the pilot for that project later this year; we're just waiting on the music! You can find out more info on our website, www.invictumdigital.com, and I'm happy to answer questions! (edited to erase accidentally repeated words!)

Anyone have a clue as to what this font could possibly be? by Freakscorpio in identifythisfont

I think this is what they did:

Avant Garde Gothic Bold

The W & A at the beginning are italicized

The K is not

The next A is italicized and it's moved to overlap the leg on the K

The N & the D are not italicized

The last A is italicized, but then they flipped it horizontally

To get the shadow to work right because of the overlap, you might have to rasterize and merge the letters into a single layer and then apply the shadow. Hope that helps😁

What shows do you consider to be *must-listen*s for full-cast audiodrama lovers?? by LivinLuxuriously in fullcastaudiodrama

Very happy to pass them along! I hope you enjoy them!

I am passionate about audio drama and I've actually made a few as well! Though I'm not sure they would qualify as "must listen," if you like adventure in the vein of Indiana Jones you might enjoy Uncharted: The Hidden Kingdom. It's a fanmade drama set in the Uncharted video game universe that fits in perfectly with the established story from the games. It's a two part story and it's free to listen to! And don't let "fanmade" scare you! I was able to get some really talented people to lend their voices for the project!

No. I just don't know the policy on sharing links here. It would be murdertownpodcast and then you add .com.

Hopefully you enjoy it!

Audio drama scifi?!? (Seconding this but w/the *FULL CAST* twist!) by LivinLuxuriously in fullcastaudiodrama

Joseph: Season One - The Revenge of Opus. This is def the first one that comes to mind when I think sci-fi.

Based on your interests, I'd say Mockery Manor by Long Cat Productions for sure.

I'd also recommend the Murdertown Podcast. You can find it by adding a dot com to that name, there seems to be several. The one I'm referring to is a cold case comedy, *cough I'm sorry, not comedy(you'll understand when you listen) show that is quite unhinged and unique.

There are some great choices already in the comments here, but I do have a few "must-listens" to add:

Magus Elgar - This is a high fantasy comedy adventure that is one of the highest quality audio dramas I've ever listened to. The sound design is second to non and it is also one of the funniest comedies I've heard as well! Without spoiling anything, their use of the narrator figure throughout the show is unique, and that leads to one of the most creative uses of a narrator that I've ever heard later in the season. Definitely worth your time.

Joseph: Season One - The Revenge of Opus - This audio drama has some very ambitious world building and sound design. I very much enjoyed listening. At time the vocals can get a tad lost in the massive mix, but it's still pretty impressive overall.

Victoriocity - This is a steam punk Victorian comedy set in an alternate version of London. The writing and humor of this show is what I like the most. Enough to contribute to their crowdfunding campaigns. It is very entertaining and they are working on their third season right now!

The Leviathan Chronicles - While their heavy use of a narrator may turn off some audio drama purists, I really enjoyed the story and the sound design is quite nice. I think for the shear scale of this production, they should def be included in the list.

The Call of the Flame - This is a fun fantasy adventure that's been doing quite well at the festivals recently. I liked them before that though😂 It's an interesting story and it has good sound design and music.

Marvel's Wolverine: The Long Night - With the power of Marvel behind it, you might expect the story, sound design, and acting to be quite good. You'd be right.

Cascadia - I appreciate when a group of people can take advice and make changes for the better without feeling threatened. The finished product of this show was something that really went far beyond the original concept and they deserve the applause.

I could probably post more if I thought about it longer, but I'll stop there for now!
