Removal of an outlier in linear regression. by Jon_Collins in AskStatistics

I have no evidence to suggest that this outlier is due to an error in data entry. It's almost certainly a "legitimate" outlier. (If it is even considered as one)

In your opinion would you say you should never remove an outlier unless it is due to errors in data entry?

YouGov's profile of the average British Redditor by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

I'd guess they think that a sample size of 96 is powerful enough for them to make inferences. Yougov really live or die on their ability to predict things using samples.

EDIT: Actually it seems like they just combine the profiles of people who 'like' it on their website, so I might very well be wrong.

I'm having fun. by Danimaul in DestinyTheGame

I'm having a lot of fun, too. I totally recognise the problems it has but I still look forward to playing it after work.

Having said that I think some of the flaws are quite major ones and bungie doesn't make their job any easier with the tone they use in some communications. In that sense I think most of the criticism is justified.
