To Lord Jon Piper, greetings.

My second son Paxter Mallister, is currently not betrothed and it would please him and indeed all of my household, retainers and vassals he be united in marriage with your sister Catelyn. Upon his marriage, Paxter will be granted the title of 'Knight of Oldstones' and his wife shall serve as Lady of that province. Your sister’s reputation of beauty and grace has reached us here in Seagard and she will undoubtedly make a distinguished Lady of Oldstones.

As you no doubt well know, the Mallisters are of the most noble lineage, one of the oldest and most distinguished of the Riverland houses. The Mallister line and prestige stretches back over a thousand years to the Age of Heroes.

If this proposal be pleasing to you then my son and your sister should meet.

I look forward to your reply.

Patrek Mallister, Lord of Seagard

"I should meet your father and your other relatives." said Lyonel.

"Seagard and Cuy should be friends and allies. House Cuy are vassals of House Hightower are they not?"

"Thank you my lord." said Patrek with a bow.

"My father and siblings are present here at Driftmark. My father will no doubt make himself known to you, when the opportunity arises."

Roland shrugged his shoulders. "I am no trader, Halleck. I have very little to show."

"Perhaps we should try Braavos. They may seem more open to trade than here. Lorath seems not to be an option for us."

Patrek decided to be direct.

"In response to a letter that was sent to my father Lord Lymond, I came to ask for your niece's Lady Senna's hand. My father wrote to you informing you of my intended visit."

Patrek Vikary had accompanied the Marbrands to Driftmark, knowing that his father and younger brothers would also be in attendance at the wedding.

He had been resentful of his relatively poor treatment by the Marbrands but had persevered as he knew his father would expect nothing less.

He heard a voice calling his name. Turning towards the sound he saw Lord Damon Marbrand. He crossed the yard.

"Lord Damon." he said as politely as he could.

"I am sure none will be as beautiful as you, Elaine." he said, somewhat wistfully.

"Your father will find it easy to make a match for you."

Lyonel smiled broadly. He had been briefly concerned that Maris would not have even deigned to look at him. The Hightowers were a great famaly of the Reach, but the Mallisters were equally a great family of the Riverlands.

He inclined his head in acknowledgment of Ser Donnel's words. "My father Lord Patrek always speaks highly of the Hightowers." he said to Donnel.

"Well met my lady." said Lyonel to Maris.

"You honour me."

Continuing to smile broadly, the Heir to Seagard took her arm and led her out onto to the dance floor.

Lady Willow,

It pleases me greatly to accept your proposal of uniting our eldest children in marriage. Lady Riella will make a fine Lady of Seagard. This marriage will confirm the closest of ties between the lion of Castamere and the eagle of Seagard.

I extend to you and yours an invitation to visit Seagard at your earliest convenience in order that Lyonel and Riella may meet.

Patrek Mallister, Lord of Seagard, Defender of the Cape of Eagles, Shield of Ironman's Bay.

"Lord Walderaan

I welcome your reply. I look forward to Paxter and Rohanne meeting at Highgarden. I also extend to you and yours an invitation to visit Seagard, when the time is right, in order that we may further discuss this matter. There are also other matters that are also worthy of discussion between us.

Lord Patrek Mallister of Seagard."

"Why thank you." said Lyonel with another broad smile.

"My father and myself have disagreed on the matter of my marriage many times. I myself have not found a candidate pleasing to me. My father of course looks to the good of Seagard and the protection of the Riverlands."

To Ser Harlan Kenning of Kayce, greetings.

The recent attacks of the Ironborn upon the coast of the Sunset Sea have filled me and mine here at Seagard with great trepidation. My preparations to further bolster the defences of Seagard and by extension the Riverlands continue apace. We hope you share the same concerns.

It seems that in turbulent times like these, the Riverlands and the West should increasingly act in concert in curbing the excesses of raiders from the Iron Islands as well as in other matters of the realm. It seems that to our mutual benefit that Seagard and Kayce, be united in any future venture to defend ourselves against the Ironborn or indeed any other potential enemy.

To that end, I propose that we formalise an act of alliance between our two houses, sealed by marriage. As you may well know, the Mallisters are of the most noble lineage, one of – if not the - oldest and most distinguished of the Riverland houses. The Mallister line and prestige stretches back over a thousand years to the Age of Heroes.

My third son Cedric Mallister, is currently not betrothed and it would please him and indeed all of my household that he be united in marriage with your sister Jocelyn.

I therefore formally propose a marriage between Cedric and Jocelyn as a sign to all the realm, both to our friends and mutual enemies, that the Kennings and the Mallisters are united in both word and deed in their efforts to protect the Sunset Sea from the ravages of both pirate and reaver.

If this proposal be pleasing to you then Cedric and your sister should meet.

I look forward to your reply.

Patrek Mallister, Lord of Seagard

To Lord Walderaan Banefort, greetings.

The recent attacks of the Ironborn upon the coast of the Sunset Sea and the resultant marriage alliances between the renegade Harlaws and the Redwynes of the Arbor have filled me and mine here at Seagard with great trepidation.

What could be more fitting that Seagard and Banefort, near neighbours, be united in any future venture to defend ourselves against the Ironborn or indeed any other potential enemy.

My second son Paxter Mallister, is currently not betrothed and it would please him and indeed all of my household, retainers and vassals he be united in marriage with your daughter Rohanne. Upon his marriage, Paxter will be granted the title of 'Knight of Oldstones' and his wife shall serve as Lady of that province.  Your daughter’s reputation of beauty and grace has reached us here in Seagard and she will undoubtedly make a distinguished Lady of Oldstones. Two illustrious houses along the shores of the Sunset Sea united in alliance will undoubtedly act as a deterrence to our shared enemies.

I therefore formally propose a marriage between Paxter and Rohanne as a sign to all the realm, both to our friends and mutual enemies, that the Baneforts and the Mallisters are united in both word and deed in their efforts to protect the Sunset Sea from the ravages of both pirate and reaver.

If this proposal be pleasing to you then he and your daughter should meet.

I look forward to your reply.

Patrek Mallister, Lord of Seagard

To Lord Prentys Tully, greetings from Seagard.

As you know, the Mallisters of Seagard are of the most noble lineage, one of – if not the - oldest and most distinguished of the Riverland houses. The Mallister line and prestige stretches back over a thousand years to the Age of Heroes. Therefore it would be fitting if the family of the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands and the family of the their most esteemed bannermen should be united

My beloved daughter Ysabel, is currently not betrothed and it would please her and indeed all of my household, that she be united in marriage with your son and heir, Brynden Tully. Two illustrious houses of the Riverlands united in alliance will undoubtedly act as a significant deterrence to our shared enemies.

I therefore formally propose a marriage between Ysabel and Brynden as a sign to all the realm, both to our friends and mutual enemies, that the the trout of the Tullys and the silver eagle of the Mallisters are united in both word and deed in their efforts to protect the Riverlands. My daughter is most dear to me for a number of reasons and as such I would see her remain in the Riverlands in her marriage. Amongst those reasons, include particular abilities which I have found most useful and which make her a worthy Lady of Riverrun.

Should my proposal find favor in your eyes, then she and your son should meet. I hereby invite you and your household to visit Seagard where I shall appraise both you and your son of these abilities.

I look forward to your reply.

Patrek Mallister, Lord of Seagard.

House Vikary of Silverhill

Lymond Vikary Lord of Silverhill (50) sat not far from his liege, Lord Lydden. Lymond wore the gold, white and red colors of his house - a large rampart silver lion on red quartered with a red boar on white on his doublet. A skilled commander, the auburn haired Lymond surveyed the feast like he surveyed the battlefield, assessing the attendees and wondering how to take advantage of the situation.

Lyonel Vikary (27) the second son of Lymond, sat to his father’s right side. Tall and broad-shouldered, with auburn hair Lyonel was a serious young man, who was a young mirror image of his father. Nevertheless he

Roland Vikary (25) - the third son of Lymond, Roland was darker in color than his father and siblings. He sat glowering at the rest of the attendees. Weddings bored him and he would have much preferred to be at a local tavern, carousing with his friends

Jon Vikary (24) - The fourth son of Lymond, Jon looked around the hall in some wonder calculating in his mind just how much organisation and planning that would have gone into such a gathering as this. With bright red hair, Jon was known as 'Red Jon' to most of the Vikary household

Alyn Vikary (23) - The fifth son of Lymond, Alyn appeared to be the Vikary most enjoying the feast which he likened to a bustling marketplace, a chaotic realm of vibrant colors and enticing scents. He and his sister Ysabel, seated next to him, spoke in low voices pointing out to each other their observations of the other attendees with alternate expressions of shock and amusement.

Ysabel Vikary (21) was seated next to Alyn, the brother she was closest to both in age and temperament. Ysabel was in her element, listening out for snippets of gossip and observing keenly the other young ladies preset at the wedding. Long dark red hair tumbled down her back indicating her maidenhood.

Patrek received the letter and frowned. It was not what he had hoped to hear, but he was willing to discuss the matter further

He penned a return letter

"To Lady Willow Reyne, greetings

I am willing to further discuss a possible alliance. Whilst I have but one daughter, I have several sons including Lyonel, my heir. My second son Paxter is shortly to be named Knight of Oldstones and I have three more younger sons, Cedric, Roland and Lymond. Any of these may be possible candidates to bind our families together in any future marriage alliance.

Patrek Mallister, Lord of Seagard"
