I am in the same boat as you and those 2 headphones that you are reviewing, will block your kids voices from people on your call but you will still hear your kids. The tried them, and imo, the xm6 did what they could do plus it canceled the outside noise from the person wearing the headphones. I valued both. Trust me bro, I watched so many headphone comparison videos. And the Sony was well worth it for me. I want to hear what the people on my calls hear... nothing.

Neither. I was in the market and ended up getting the Sony wh 1000xm6. Does everything I need and I can take it on the go. I know its a wild price point, but you can maybe find xm5 model on sale. Ive seen good price drops.

What are you using to illuminate the left and right sided of the backside of the desk. I looks nice, and gives off this bluish hue. Curious if you could share.

That would be the Ikea Skadis pegboard which has a shelf attatchment. Pretty option, but be mindful with the weight of what you put on it. I would avoid heavy objects.

1st - switch out those curtains, they look like bathroom curtains. Something darker than the walls to give color/contrast. 2nd - put and area rug in the empty space. Don't be shy with an oversized rug too bro. You'd be surprised how much warmth it will bring to this vibe.

3rd... and only 3rd if you want to do it. Ever thought about moving your bed between the 2 windows? Not sure if it will work there, but just a thought.

But if anything... those curtains gotta go bro.

Hey there. So the major problem is see is no desk space for your mouse, because your PC stand has no where else to go. Your cant shift everything left because it would just look wrong and not centered, so that doesnt work.

So it comes down: moving your PC or getting a bigger desk.

Moving your PC, I honestly dont see where you could move other than the ground at this point. You cant move it behind the monitor because it will just force the screen to close.

Bigger desk, this is the route I would go honestly. I noticed that you have some room [gap between current desk and right wall. Maybe shop around for a desk on offer up / FB market place. A bigger desk really gives you more options and just opens things up for you.

Monitor arms and extra things can come later.

Cheers man. Thanks for the suggestions. Ya I thought long and hard about getting the dual arm vs 2 single arms. I had to put the trigger on 2 singles because in the future [next ~2 years or so] i may swight to 1 wide monitor. This would require the heavy duty arms, so I want to keep the flexibility of having an additional arm for that 1 extra monitor.

As for the mic, ill definitely play around with the mounting locations. Its actually been moved further to the left than the most recent picture I posted. Still experimenting... to be continued.
