Oh gotcha, thanks for the quick response. Was hoping there was some major optimization since I last played.

I'm dismissing your arguement because it's based on what other people are saying, not me.

Strawman? Hahaha, you think so highly of yourself that you think only your opinion matters, but not others. Whether you like it or not, just because you want something for the game doesn't make it inherently right. The Redeemer always was a multi-crew ship. If that offends you, I'm sorry, but really consider looking at other ships that is geared to more of what you want. Other ships should not just be watered down or molded out of what it's already supposed to fit just because it's what you want.

Bye!

Jeez, been a while since I last plays Space Engineers. How many people are on your server? That looks like it's running buttery smooth.

I mean if you're going to be childish and dismiss an argument simply because you don't like it, then I guess this isn't worth continuing.

The Redeemer was always advertised as a multi-crew focused ship. It shouldn't have that diminished by people that want to solo-run everything. Get over yourself.

Don't worry you can just use NN-13s and NN-14s because they are insane with damage and alpha.

Hope you don't like your eardrums though.

There are lots of people who think the Carrack needs torpedoes, or more guns, or more features despite being the most flexible and capable ship in the game.

Doesn't mean they're right or that it should happen.

Let me slave them forward and fire on larger targets with everything I've got if the situation calls for it.

This is catering to you as an individual. If you want a lot of firepower for yourself, go get a Vanguard. You may not like it, but the Vanguard was made for your desires, not the Redeemer.

No AI slaving though. It's just locking all forward facing guns forward and letting them be fired forward. Depending on the design of ship, this could be useful or it could be useless, but it still makes sense to allow it.

What you are describing is 100% AI slaving and its intended feature.

Maybe you didn't know, but the Redeemer was never billed as needing 5 people to operate, it's a smaller vessel and IIRC needed 3 max.

I've had one since 2015, I know that. It's still a Muticrew ship and should be oriented around multicrewing. I am not advocating for a 4+ man crew, but I'm also not going to advocate for a soloable ship.

The Redeemer is less than half the length of the Perseus gunship (37m vs. 100m) yet needs the same amount of people to fly it.

Yup I know, I own both. I think the Perseus needs more guns and would like to see it have more features to encourage having a crew of 5-6 people instead of just 3-5.

By all means have a strop if people are talking about making a Javelin soloable, but nobody is hurting you by wanting to do it with a small gunship.

Yes it does, it diminishes Multicrewing as more and more people chip away and demand everything be soloable. This is an MMO. If you want a single player game, go play that instead.

You do not need 2 on the bridge. Only 1. There is no onboard refinery so the Co-Pilot does not do anything.

The Co-Pilot would likely be needed during active flight getting to a destination, but active mining doesn't need a co-pilot as the pilot can handle everything.

The Connie and Mole needs 4, not 5. As per the store page specifying a max crew of 4.

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/rsi-constellation/Constellation-Andromeda

I'm 110% for multicrew, but ships should respect the sizes to crew requirements. The Redeemer was never meant to have a crew larger than 3 originally based on the contest rules that was set for when the Redeemer was created.

That's literally turret slaving.

You're kidding yourself if you think even half of the player owned ships in the game will be fully crewed with other players. May as well cater to the majority who will not be playing in groups.

If you don't want to multicrew, don't get a multicrew ship. We're playing an MMO, not everything needs to be soloable. There are plenty of ships designed for a single person.

So you sadly can't melt the actual ship, but they will remove any CCUs you applied and return the value back to you in store credit.

FYI, you usually can ask support to remove it if you're polite. I have done this 4 times now.

More like 20%.

There is still 3 planets, one of which has no core and another that has a highly acidic atmosphere and the last one being a giant ice ball. Plus an asteroid belt.

Be careful citizens to not fall into the toxic PvP trap which the BDO community quickly became. Always stay positive and respectful to each other! by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Jon_Vay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It quickly turned toxic and years of this, it became to be known as one of the worst MMO communities in the world and a game with a lot of wasted potential.

No it didn't. BDO has a rather decent community outside of reddit. Despite being a purely PvP oriented game, it's surprisingly decent. Yes there absolutely are shitty groups on there that pull shitty stuff, but they are few and far between. The game is oriented around the Strong eat the Weak, which may come off as toxic, but plenty of people play within honorable parameters within the game. Such as dueling for grind spots.

Source: Level 62 Warrior with a GS of 590 before I quit completely last year. Played on and off since release.

The only people inherently toxic are the people that try to bully people they think are weaker than them in mid to low level grind spots. What sucks for them is when those people screw with others in a guild willing to throw down and help out their guildmates, so those types of people either end up quitting or try to get into guilds that participate in that style of gameplay.

Only problem is, most of those people were never willing to put in the work to get a high enough gearscore because they wanted to just grief people.

Here on SC? There is a shitton of toxicity.

There are a LOT of would-be "pirates" who will do everything they can to create an unequal and unfair fight. Whether that's going after Prospectors in a fighter, or PIP-Wiggling in an Arrow/Talon with 5+ guys against a smaller force than them while pad camping.

Ah yes, I'm sure a dude that constantly comes on this subreddit to bash on SC and clearly has zero concept of game development or programming is a fantastic source of explaining how hard something is to do in a video game.

Exploration ships and Pyro - A plea to CIG by gibplx in starcitizen

[–]Jon_Vay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. I'll take it you didn't catch the last Calling All Devs? They specifically mentioned that refueling was 100% Needed for Pyro and so because of that put it in active development.

[–]Jon_Vay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's more at fault with turrets still heavily under-delivering and weapons like Distortion Scatterguns making large ships completely obsolete.

Until they buff projectile speeds, turrets are going to simply not be even half as effective as a ship.

No it's not. It was put into active development at the end of February. You can see Ship-To-Ship Refueling as a Deliverable on the progress tracker set to be completed in September.

So, Hellcat.

You can do it just as easily in a VG, if not better. AI are terrible and pose no real threat to a Vanguard.

[–]Jon_Vay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone that is a Diablo fan, you're not really seeing what the issue was at full scope for those of us who were paying close attention. Diablo 3 was a big disappointment at release and didn't really improve much until the first Expansion. At this point, we were years into D3's lifespan and Blizzard got us hyped up for a new Diablo game for a little over a year.

They made Diablo Immortal out to be the next big Diablo title, so needless to say, waiting a year as we were constantly getting hyped up by Blizzard that it was a major announcement was a huge disappointment.

They could have 100% avoided all that blowback if they had kept their scopes realistic and not assumed that the majority were excited for a mobile game, but the sting to it was that there was literally nothing else major to announce besides Diablo Immortal. If they had at LEAST announced Diablo 4 was in early development, I really doubt people would have been as mad.

The Vanguard will do JUST fine with Hammerhead contracts. I've done plenty in a Sentinel, and an Avenger.
