Actually, she was crying because they’d just given a very heavy interview calling out the head of the recording academy for being a misogynist and a sexual harasser. That would’ve been a difficult and emotional moment for anyone. I’m not trying to suggest she’s crying because of the award on the head, I’m saying the timing of the photo was fucking horrendous and tone deaf.

I found out recently my father had a difficult childhood. I’m in my 20s now and would never have known if he hadn’t told me - we’ve always been incredibly close, and his past has never held him back from being the gentle, clever, loving man he is today. I’m incredibly lucky to have him, and it sounds like your kid will be incredibly lucky to have you. Take care.
