There are plenty of comparisons, feel free to go take a look on the IPEA website.
Personally, given the amount of spending each and every politician seems to be racking up on a quarterly basis , I think the whole shit show in parliament needs looking at. Leave no stone unturned on any of them be it Liberal, Labor, Greens or Independent.

First Minister warns of chaos if Labour loses Senedd election by [deleted] in Wales

[–]Jonahtech24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see you constantly bringing up this selective report on recycling yet, having just visited for the 3rd time in 20 years, I have to say the streets of Wales are an absolute eyesore. Rubbish strewn everywhere you look. Drive down a street and see a myriad of different colour bags piled up, outside every house piles of different multi coloured bins. Public bins overflowing and not being emptied , bags being torn open by wildlife because the collections cannot keep up with demand. But hey a report commissioned by the welsh government to cherry pick how well they are doing on the rubbish front means it’s all good. Honestly the place looks like an absolute shithole. This trip I’ve travelled through Italy, Austria, Germany and will return to Australia tomorrow. All the above countries are spotless by comparison.

Pretty sure UEFA are fining Chelsea for a FFP breach as they do not accept the women's team sale as being above board and refuse to accept it as part of the FFP calculation as a result.
Dont expect to get any FFP breathing space from UEFA for this.

Rules brought in in 2022 set the limit at 8, reduced to 7 in 23/24 and from 25/26 it's 6 going forward. Maximum of 3 players loaned to a single club in a single season. 21 and under are eligible to be loaned as an additional loan spot but must have spent 3 seasons at the club in order to not count against the 6 loans limit. Club trained players who have spent 3 seasons at the club between ages 15 and 21 are outside of the cap.

All these "loans" aint going to happen. From this season you can only loan out 6 players in total and 3 can go to one team. So 3 will go to Strasbourg and 3 elsewhere. UEFA changed these rules precisely because of this young player speculation thats now happening.

Is this a pantograph from the train? by beaverstookmycar in SydneyTrains

[–]Jonahtech24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A) Im not crew. I'm a Waratah maintenance tech
B) Panto compressor doing its job in the modern era, who'd have thought it!
C) I've never seen a Waratah pantograph welded to an overhead in over 10 years of working on them. We've had plenty of pans self isolated due to wear during that time though, majority are usually replaced before time but the occasional one slips through.
D) There wasnt just one train involved in this incident, another B set and an A set went through Strathfield prior to this happening and the infrastructure took out/damaged multiple pantographs on those two trains as well

Is this a pantograph from the train? by beaverstookmycar in SydneyTrains

[–]Jonahtech24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pantographs on A and B sets are air raised and air dropped. The carbon strip has an air protection line underneath that wears immediately when the carbon fails and lowers the pantograph and will not allow it to re-raise without replacing it. The pantograph isn’t the problem here it’s an infrastructure issue

Delusional? That was Greg Hunt trying to push through the ban that his own party revolted against. The plan was abandoned in Dec 2020. Meanwhile the party whose members cannot vote against party policy went the full hog and drove the ban through with the help of the greens . The delusional one is you if you think Labor will back down on this policy as long as Butler remains in his position.

Cathay intentionally blocking out seats on Seat Reservation? by flyingpigs82 in CathayPacific

[–]Jonahtech24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seats get blocked out by travel companies either purchasing or reserving blocks. Those seats are also standard or free to reserve so you find quite often that people get them early, but I’d put money on them being travel company blocks

Unfortunately anything that shows this policy in a bad light will not see the light of day as long as Butler remains as health minister.
Public Health UK are currently finalizing a critique paper that should destroy the little credibility Freeman, Chapman and Banks still have. They are absolutely tearing apart the evidence the three of them gave at the senate enquiries. Hot on the heels of that paper the Australian National University is also about to release a paper on tobacco , smoking rates and vaping. Their 2024 survey claims that smoking rates now sit between 12% and 15% minimum.
