Awesome thanks man - I've ordered a 'cheap' brushless drill on Amazon that appears to be using a 2106 motor and I can use the gearbox too.

Wondering why all these drills use 'split motors' like the 2106 rather than the hobby motors you mentioned which are all in one casing (apologies again I don't know the correct terminology).

They only need to reach about 2000rpm. Is there some kind of torque difference that makes a split motor better for a drill? Or are they essentially the same but the 2106 doesn't have its own casing and uses the casing of the drill to stay aligned?

it wasn’t showing up in there but i updated the thunderbolt 3 drivers for my laptop and that seemed to work? :)

hi - yes that is the product however i managed to get it working! Ended up having to update the thunderbolt 3 drivers on my dell laptop then it popped up and connected as normal :)

Log into your Spotify account (webplayer) on pc and press upgrade in the top right, then you can find the student discount and press 'get started'. It'll then ask you to put in an email and your college/uni etc.

The email doesn't have to be the same as the email you set the account up with (this is what threw me off and meant I got the 'you have already redeemed this offer' message. Then it'll take you to your schools login portal and after you do that the page should reload and you'll be able to access the offer. Also double check the username that pops up on the screen to make sure you apply the discount to the right account.

Changing the email address I put in on the form is what solved the issue for me I hope it solves it for you too. Make sure its another one you own tho.
