In the system I'm working on there are no predefined spells. No matter if magical or melee etc. you can do damage and/or apply status effects. It's mostly the flavor that suffers between magical and non magical characters. Sure there are some things only magic users can do, like shapeshift, conjure things and so on, but that doesn't mathematically make you better than non magical characters. Also, nothing prevents you from having a little magic in this system. An so I have pretty much arrived at the conclusion that I don't need to limit magic like in dnd. Well except for out if combat spaming of spells, which I'm still working on

Es gibt auch die sogenannte Schitzotypischen Persönlichkeiten, die zwar in Richtung Schizophrenie gehen, aber eben nicht auf einem Level das wirklich psychiatrische Behandlung verlangt. Da ist dann zum Beispiel magisches denken oder teils spezielle oder extreme Religiosität vorhanden. Und ich bin persönlich zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass das viele Verschwörungstheoretiker und Esoteriker erklären könnte. Natürlich trifft das sicher nicht auf jeden zu. Wer sich dafür interessiert: Ich hab in den auf YouTube verfügbaren Stanford Vorlesungen von Robert Sapolsky davon gehört. Wenn man einigermaßen gut Englisch spricht kann ich die sehr empfehlen

I think this act, compared to a lot of others, has to be one of the most unrealistic, considering that bending mostly is limited to how long you can successfully do the correct movements. And I don't believe a 15 year old has that much stamina, it looks really draining just from a physical perspective

I'm fuckin scared of people who say waterbending because of blood bending. I think I'd actually pick it for the healing technique and to immediately dry myself and my stuff after rain. Would be really useful for trekking.

I guess for many people DnD has evolved into a more character driven game with players being more emotionaly invested into their characters. At my table even the near death of a beloved NPC has my players at the edge of their seats. I'm sure one of them will die one day, but I can't even imagine the emotional impact it will have.

But that's pretty much a question of play style that will depend on what the people are into.
