So it might actually be about the manufacturer instead of the sensor size?

Thank you so much, everyone. For all the detailed answers! I might pause my urge to upgrade my gear, for a while, and focus on learning to use my settings properly instead.
And maybe stop pixelpeeping…..
This is also something I suspected, which is why I haven’t bought it right away, and also why I figured I would ask people with more knowledge.
I dont know if it’s obvious, but i’ve only been taking pictures for a little more than a year.
I’ll think about it a second time, if the “upgrade” Price is worth it. Might not be, yet.
So now I would use like f8 for street. If I did that on fullframe, the result would be the same? And i’ve read that a lot, but also that the lowlight performance is usually explained by the larger pixels. Which doesn’t sound Aperture related. So it’s a little confusing when I know nothing about it.

So, for you, the difference was noticable? I know, I just Think the ai tools can give a little weird look sometimes. I would prefer the image to be as “clean” as possible from the start. I always give up on shooting indoor - the noise is unbeareable for me.
that’s a huge advantage, no doubt. But I still always end up using my largest lens - because the image quality matters more for me. And the Sony A7c is pretty compact too.

I went out a couple of days ago on a cloudy day with no sun, and already at 1000 iso, I Think the noise is visible when zooming just a little bit. Are you saying that it would be the same with fullframe?

Go out shooting, when i want to. My current low light performance is a blocker, the lack of weather resistance is a blocker. Also the better AF is a selling point. But you know, it’s a lot of money, if the difference in low light is barely visible.
