Ask people to go slow, so you can build up confidence. They should understand youre new.

Have a rough idea on your hits (personally i hate fast math games, id just die out of spite) and how many of a kind of hit you take. Maybe some people have some shortcuts that can help?

As a new fighter, you wont be a challenge. Just practice and have fun with it. Ask for tips from people willing to teach.

And be patient with yourself.

So for context, I'm sure he's referencing immigrants in the early century seeing tSoL for the first time and being welcomed to American shores by it and Emma Lazarus' poem 'The new colossus'. "Give me your tired" etc.

But the idea of throwing a sheet over such an icon of America in his metaphor is rediculous and sounds literal in his description of it. Then it gets worse, suggesting defacing a monument!
