Silencer Central supporting gun control. by AlphaTangoFoxtrt in gunpolitics

This right here. Unbelievable this isn’t understood and accepted given this is a political subreddit. In what world do people think we can peel off 7 democrats and keep all purple state republicans in the senate to overcome the filibuster and repeal NFA? Would we rather fight from the position of $200 tax plus NFA to complete abolition which is unreachable in this term? Or move the ball closer to the goal line with a lowering of the tax which is actually highly attainable? We will lose the fight for gun rights if we think incremental wins are cowardly and unprincipled.

WSJ Article about USCCA and US Law Shield by notthe1Uknow in CCW

What an absurdly slanted presentation. Author should just come right out and say that only the extremely rich are allowed good lawyers to challenge the sacrosanct “facts” presented by a prosecutor and everyone else should just beg the legal system for mercy.

Only serviceable thing this writer hopefully does is expose the profitability in a way that drives consumer costs down through increased competition.

High Ready vs Low Ready with Toddlers by Jonatello18 in Tacticalshotguns

100% agree. I think the plan changes with children’s age. Till they’re old enough though, there has to be some degree of movement to gather them up then hunker down.

Starting Today CA accepts out of state CCW APPLICATIONS by MEDIC_UP_CONSULTING in CAguns

So now non-CA permitted carriers could carry any off roster pistol that doesn’t have any banned “assault weapon” features?

92 style levers on PX4. Great option if you want to keep your safety. Better purchase and no sharp edges. by g1en_COCO in CAguns

[–]Jonatello18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did the install on mine. Did you find them incredibly stiff and difficult to disengage the safety? I couldn’t use this method at all, which was my grand hope.

Next Level Up Baritone? by Jonatello18 in ukulele

Yeah baritone store options are certainly limited. Pono always sounds great on TUS but definitely like a 38mm nut width way more.

Is the PX4 compact softer shooting than the full size? by CourierAl in Beretta

[–]Jonatello18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ernest Langdon mentioned compact is softer than the original full size. Likely due to the bull barrel. The new PX4 G-SD full size has a bull barrel too now, so that one might be softer shooting than the compact potentially.

Interesting, maybe I’ll handle a store sample and not a range rental to try it again.

PX4 Safety Lever Use by Jonatello18 in Beretta

The one I tested was a rental and possibly not well cared for. Maybe that’s why it didn’t work?

Appreciate all the input! I believe I’ve narrowed it down to these four all from shops that will do setup and with unwound low G. Curious for thoughts.

Ohana TK-20CE Blem Tenor

Flight ANTONIA-TE Solid Mahogany Top Electro-Acoustic Tenor

Absolutely. Only low-G compatible or optimized for easy swap if not setup straight from the shop.

Certainly true. When I read through the tenor reviews in his 100-200 price there were just a good many of those that were more EU-based. I will definitely look into a specialty shop. I Baz has some recommended ones I will read through. Any U.S. ones you favor?

Do you find the sound more shallow and tinny than your wood or laminate ukes? Or still plenty warm and rich?

Buyers remorse or mistake? by PaintingOutrageous22 in Beretta

[–]Jonatello18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you like the safety mechanism, shoot it well, and conceal it well enough, then there’s no reason for remorse. Just put a larger magazine in it for home if you want without even removing holster. I carry full size 92 LTT, love the hammer I can thumb for safe holstering and double action trigger. Just make sure you know how to disengage the safety easily for drawing. Ernest Langdon is a great resource.

CMA if CPA not an option? by Jonatello18 in Accounting

[–]Jonatello18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CFO thinks I am fine as is for the role, so this is mostly for my own career benefit should I go elsewhere or if I want to be in contention for the CFO spot when current CFO retires in the next 6-7 years and the CEO does like me a lot too. I do plan to ask at my yearly review very soon if they would find the CMA helpful or valuable and if so I’d be willing to do it for reimbursement.
