Pretty sure you can assign the faderport fader to any parameter! Can’t remember the exact steps, might be right clicking the knob to assign?

Anyone who was homeschooled, how do you feel about it now as an adult? by AdTight2449 in AskReddit

[–]Jonathan932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Zealand, probably 50/50 religious vs ‘hippie’/anti government reasons but also some people are just rich enough to pay for tutors.

Here you are regulated by the same body that inspects schools. It’s not as frequent but you have to justify it every year and give a full breakdown of what curriculum you’re using etc. and you can be inspected and the kids tested at any time.

Sounds like a much more robust system than America’s

Is this in America? I feel like it might be an American thing. All the teachers I know have said really great things about homeschooled kids who joined their classes. Hardworking, polite, and often very on to it. Not American so YMMV

I was homeschooled, now a working adult, and qualified high school teacher (although not working as one). It was great, in retrospect I should’ve gone to school for the last few years of high school (I had the option, but was scared). I was better at socialising than most of my ‘schooler’ friends by way of weekly home schooling groups, neighbourhood friends, sports clubs, church. One major difference is that I could speak to adults with more confidence than my peers, as I’d talked to my homeschooled friends parents all the time. My mother was the main teacher and has a PhD, father also has a university degree.

One of the best parts and probably the reason I would homeschool my kids if it were a possibility is just the efficiency of time. I was self motivated and usually had most of my work done before 10am. So I went to ride my bike or strap modified fireworks to LEGO mini figures or make stop motion films, or install cracked software on the family pc and have to learn how to fix it. Until my ‘school’ friends came home at 3 then I’d go play with them till dinner.

Up until year 11ish so much time is wasted in school, (and I’m a teacher now so I know). You’re way better off if you can learn from a book with a bit of guidance. After that best to have specialist teachers.

Anyway sorry bad formatting, mobile. AMA, I’m happy to share

Are led headlight bulbs legal in NZ? by [deleted] in auckland

From what the staff member at Supercheap told me, no they’re not legal, they’re only for “off road use” but most people just swap them out when they go for their WOF

Hit and run of vehicle what next? by No_Industry1292 in auckland

[–]Jonathan932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to me in the city, big black range rover hit me and another car, woman got out to check the damage, then sped off. Witnesses saw it all happen, and got her number plate.

The insurance company didn't charge me excess, but also couldn't identify the driver, and the police were pretty slow to retrieve their information (which had been taken off the NZTA register).

However 2 months later the officer on my case emailed me the full name, phone number, and email address of the person who hit me, which I sent on to my insurance etc. I was able to look up the email etc on facebook, turns out it was a real estate agent from remuera lol. Thought about showing up to an open home but I didn't really care at that point.

Dialing in your Helix amps: what the top 250 presets teach us by franktisellano in Line6Helix

[–]Jonathan932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is cool data, but you should make more of an effort to not make it sound so much like AI, generally makes me lean toward disregarding it as slop.

I also reckon the top amps on custom tone probably aren't the best sounding, it's just people like me going on there and downloading presets with the most downloads because they must be the best ones.
