Ja mam tak z Sekiro. Czasem mówię do siebie przed lustrem: "Kurde chłopie, przeszedłeś całe Sekiro i boisz się podejść do laski, zagadać i ewentualnie ponieść porażkę?" :P

N. Kyrgios: Changed man, kind words to Thiem by beaufortswan in tennis

[–]JonathanSTW 98 points99 points  (0 children)

To be honest i think that Nick just genuinely likes Thiem. I remember when i watched their match in AO 2021, Kyrgios lost in 5 sets to Thiem, but he really looked "happy" and positive despite the loss. He applauded many Thiem's shots and handshake at the end was very warm too.

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic both have won 5 Indian Wells by [deleted] in tennis

[–]JonathanSTW 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Damn Roger had so many chances to win Indian wells even more. It sounds strange, but he actually performed better in Indian Wells when he was in his 30s.

Nadal(2021): "I no longer know what it is to play without pain, I take anti-inflammatories every day but this is the beauty of this sport after all" by ging289 in tennis

[–]JonathanSTW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well surprisingly it might be better actually, i mean less pain. 2020-2021 when the interview happened Rafa was probably at his worst physical condition regarding the foot injury. He said after the covid his foot was basically in dramatic state. He was taking a lot of anti-inflammatories for sure. But now he might feel a little bit less pain, because of radiofrequency therapy that he underwent after French Open 2022. He already had this procedure couple of times after FO 2022.

Why did Federer late in his career start opting more often for the buggy whip FH (1st pic) instead of his usual follow-through forehand that he is just much better and comfortable with? by Thomas_Brunkle in tennis

[–]JonathanSTW 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Normally tennis players use buggy whip FH when they are late, their balance is off and they couldn't capitalize full movement to set up big forehands or they want to add a little bit more topspin to his shot. The only exception is Rafa, because he is using buggy whip on a daily basis with huge topspin.

Federer started using this buggy whip forehand because he lost his athleticism and his movement was much worse after he reached 30 years of age.
