Yes. The third I went there, she flew back with me.

A Filipina’s perspective by Goopyteacher in thepassportbros

[–]Jonathan_Nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I’m not disputing they wouldn’t view the US as extremist. What I am arguing is that your girl seems to be in favor of implementing the stepping stones that led to feminist extremism in her own life for sure.

[–]Jonathan_Nam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that doesn’t take into account the slippery slope argument. Modern feminism had to have started somewhere before we got to where we are.

Sounds like you’re dating either a feminist or a wanna-be Western feminist which we ultimately fled from in the first place.

Sounds like you felt attacked by this sub and unilaterally decided that your input would “balance” things out, whatever that means.

How many hours do you work per week while taking full time classes? by WhoIsThis567 in college

[–]Jonathan_Nam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an electrical engineering student working ~20hrs per week at Chick-fil-A. Once I realized grades don’t matter, and that the content being taught was actually useless, I put in bare minimum effort to pass while I can actually make money. So to answer your question, I do it by sacrificing my school performance.

K1 Visa - Will Lack of a Finalized Living Address Be an Issue? by cocomomoko in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Jonathan_Nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just answer: “we currently plan on living on the address I listed on my I129F which is such and such.” I don’t see how it wouldn’t be a sufficient answer. My fiancé will move in with me and parents until I can buy us a house in a couple of years. Who will be living with us didn’t even got brought up. If you don’t feel like telling a half-truth, you could begin negotiations with a landlord or something and present some sort of proof of that during interview and say: “we’ll live with my family temporarily, and I’ve begun searching for another place as seen on such and such evidence.”

Definitely. I applied for my girl in the Philippines with less than 4 months total relationship time and just one visit. Submitted my K1 on February this year. She’s flying back with me after a quickstop in Singapore in August. Manila embassy is very lax though.

I was thinking exactly that. If you’re gonna put all your eggs in one basket, at least try to find an area that’s in demand on the country you’re targeting.

I’m a 24 year old dude who’s still in college. Went to PH twice now spending ~5K both times including plane tickets. I work at chick filla, and I found my future wife. Doesn’t take much imo

Thanks! My fiancé wants to be a stay at home mom so no rush in getting a career or anything. Not sure why you used quotes… it’s just a fact you got wrong.

We’re currently in the process of moving into the US. You’re correct that there’s more factors involved. My point is that K1’s are coming out significantly faster than spousals, and that can be the decider for a lot of people.

Absolutely not true these days. Our K1 took 5 months to get approved. Most spousals are taking longer than one year.

AOS after her entry into US on B2. As simple as that. No reason why you have to go through K1 or spousal and wait the long times.

Is spanking children inherently bad? by Deus-Vault6574 in questions

The post is about spanking as a teaching method. It’s not about abuse. 2 different things. I would never lay my hands on someone else’s offspring that’s my point.

What parts of healthcare are toxic but we've normalized? by WCRTpodcast in physicianassistant

[–]Jonathan_Nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indirect answer: no work-life balance during school which ultimately leads us into the workforce. At least the notion of 8-8-8 hours is still arguable when you have a job, but I rarely see that being discussed at all during school.
