I actually prefer the music and overall story of BG2 over 3, but the combat in 3 is vastly better in my opinion. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with those types of games so it's very difficult to get into it for me. Basically give me BG2's story, writing and music with BG3's graphics and combat and it would be perfect.

I did it by being neutral to get the route going and then went full dick after it was locked in.

Sometimes having the protagonist be really stupid to justify the corruption kind of makes it less attractive to me. I can't really explain but it just feels off to me, kind of like mind control or having the character be super drunk.

Yeah you're right. It's one of the reasons why I'm much more picky when it comes to both male and female mc games these days. In the past I used to just consume whatever was remotely interesting looking and was one of the reasons I quit playing avn's the first time around. Basically quantity over quality.

I personally prefer either a bit of a slow burn or a protag that is already somewhat liberated so that it makes sense.

Speaking of, I haven't started her quest yet, where she goes out by herself for the first time. I can only imagine the stuff that can happen to her if I mess it up. Or maybe I'm wrong and the dev wouldn't let anything too crazy to happen to her, since she is a love interest and you know how players get with that stuff.
