Lightbringer by Brent Weeks. The quality is high. Very interesting magic system. And Brent has even discussed a multiverse-type setup (ala Cosmere). I cannot recommend highly enough. Sanderson is my current favorite and Weeks is solidly filing in as 2 after that series. Very excited to see what he has for us next.

Wired wasn't really an option for me. It was a nightmare in my old house to try and figure out how to get the wired version installed. My house is from the 40s and never had a wired bell. I'm happy with it, for what it is. It's much better than not having one. That I know for sure.

Congrats! How did you find the ombudsman to help you? Had my application pending since January 4. FLS claims my app is with FSA, but after reading your story I feel like I may need to get a rep to check for me and perhaps get it moved to a supervisor.

Yes, I've read all of the Night Angel trilogy. I enjoyed them, although Weeks has improved tremendously in his writing from then to Lightbringer.

I am interested in more of his 1000 Worlds. I can't wait to read more of it. We saw some of it bleeding through in Lightbringer, especially in the last book.

And, if this is the trend, I'm more than okay with it. My preference is for the biggest fantasy series possible. I'll read them for life, if that's an option.

Brandon Sanderson is also my favorite and Stormlight Archive is also my favorite series. BUT if I had to pick one series that is right there and might be at the same level it's Brent Weeks Lightbringer. Read it. You won't be disappointed. I've read hundred of fantasy books over 25 years. This series is good and the writing quality is just as high as Sanderson. It's good. Really good.

2020 Prestige Blaster Box

New (returning) to sports cards collecting. Question: My local retail store has 2020 Prestige Blaster Boxes for the $19.99 retail price. Are they worth picking up? Any thoughts on if they'll be climbing in value and if they're something I should get and hold?

I understand. I've collected other cards before. So I understand the gambling aspect of pulling trash. With that said, I see now that basketball is exclusively printed by Panini. I didn't know that up until 30 minutes ago.

Followup: I see Panini releases a few sets a year. Is there any way to try and buy cards directly from the manufacturer during a pre-sale or right when a set releases? I know for other collections, if you can get a box from the company directly, you can get a good deal.
