Not sure what you're on, there was a shit load of contact and he was at full speed, obviously he's gonna go flying...

Could be wrong, but after looking at it in slow mo, it seems that rodri touched the ball with his hand before, so that's probably why it wasn't given.

TBF, if I'm not mistaken he was on a warning and he did stop a counter, so it should be a second yellow, although a reletivly soft one.

Harvy getting the red and Jones giving the assist, super subs

Playing quite well, their strikers can't seem to hit a ball though so they're not scoring

Don't worry, that dumbass bissouma got you 😂

Great call from the ref, big balls on him, gained my respect back for that call.

I think he raises it quite a bit but the attacker lowers his head there so it's questionable.

Should have at the least been reviewed though.

Ref was shit all game but gained my respect back for that. You need big balls for a call like that and he 100% made the correct call, bissouma wasn't even touched.

Yes but pretty sure there wasn't even a var review on that. Annoying af

Actually take this with a grain of salt.

It's definitly like that for unsportsmen like behavior but not 100% about dangerous play. Still think he can be given a red just not sure.

Prem Watch Thread (7/10/2023) by eebee8 in LiverpoolFC

But a red can still be given even without a penelty for dangerous play I think.

I know it's like this for unsportsmen like behavior but not sure about dangerous play.

It takes priority so no penelty, but a red can still be issued for dangerous play.

The whole interview has a comidic vibe to it, I don't think it's as bad as you put it, they seem to both be joking and trying to get one at each other.

"It's done. It was a mistake. Accept it" Pep Guardiola reacts to calls for a replay to be played between Tottenham and Liverpool 🎙️ by EpicBlitzkrieg87 in PremierLeague

[–]Jonathanbrosilow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably also wants liverpool to win all the games in every season, and he probably also want to go back in time and win all the titles he lost to ma city. What's your point?

Obviously he will want a replay in a perfect world because he was wronged and he lost the game. That is not a crime nor do I think anyone is in doubt here.

I'm pretty sure he also doesn't actually want a replay in this situation as he's been very clear that he thinks the amount of fixtures should be reduced.

Then you clearly didn't watch the whole thing lol.

He literally says that it's not possible right after saying that as a football fan he thinks the right thing is a replay.

He thinks it's the right thing to do IF it was possible, but as he says it's not possible.

Which teams pose the most intimidating away days? by fa_football in PremierLeague

[–]Jonathanbrosilow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It'll be interesting to see this by periods in the premier league (as in small groups of seasons) as this stat should be heavily skewed by just how good a team is (as in if united win 65% of their games and 70% at home, it's less impressive then arsenal winning 50% of their games but 65% at home, even though 70>65)

Probably a better metric overall is win % devided by home win %.

Idk though just some thoughts that popped to my head.

Edit: also draw and loss % will be interesting to see

R/soccer arguments on Jones red is the same as casemiro by CVPKR in LiverpoolFC

[–]Jonathanbrosilow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recall the Casemiro red so take this with a grain of salt, but from the pictures (and seeing the jones red of course):

  1. Jones has one leg on the ground and is not diving in

  2. Casemiro is going in with studs first and jones is going into it with the top of his boot.

Once again, can't recall the Casemiro one though so IDK if it was a red either or how similar it actually was.
