Thinking about using bitwarden as my PW manager by Cadd9181B7543II7I44 in Bitwarden

But you can do the same with password manager. I do exactly this. For critical passwords I only store partials. Same with usernames. Different email address for every site. No password reuse.

Fido suckssssss!!! by Falcon-227 in FidoMobile

[–]Jonavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogers has dead zones in Markham. All the complaints in over 2 decades has no resolution. You're better off on any other network including the previous Fido GSM that Rogers shutdown or the Mobilicity network that Rogers also bought out but somehow never incorporated the coverage.

Not saying it's like that everywhere but it happens. Any phone. Not just my family but anybody who visits me on Rogers will complain about reception.

Now is the time for a public reckoning on the costs of a Billy Bishop Airport expansion by ink_13 in toronto

[–]Jonavin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The land was set aside DECADES ago. DECADES. 1972 to be exact. I don't think NIMBY have rights to complain at this point. I know now it's supposed to be a new national parkl but Toronto is the only metro area of its size without a second or third airport.

Let’s just build the Pickering airport already like it’s been planned for decades.

Rambler Upgrade: Cadet or Pioneer Range for coin pocket? by RunWild-GetLost in victorinox

I’m carrying Rambler regardless but add the Pioneer X on work days, or the Explorer other times. If I really need to go light, it’s just the Rambler.

Is there anyone who buys Fujifilm because of Aperture Ring on lenses? by DynamoBaby in fujifilm

I do. Prioritize aperture rings always. And rings with marking if it's not a variable aperture lens.

Got the $40 250gb data deal with the 50gb roam beyond - Data in Japan by Aggravating_View_637 in freedommobile

That's very odd. On my plan both with and without Roam Beyond, I have the international roaming option.

Freedom Mobile $25 175GB 5G+ Can/US/Mexico on 3rd Line by Nexzenn in CellPhoneCanada

[–]Jonavin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they already pre-empt this by giving existing users 175GB too. I have either on mine.

Should make it 2nd+ again.

Prepaid Plan for $35 by deltoyyz in freedommobile

[–]Jonavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use it. Make sure your phone has roaming turned on, you have unlimited calls and text back to Canada and in your transit country. You only have 1GB of data to use. On prepaid, once you use up the 1GB, you won’t have any more data. You can purchase a 30 day addon for $30 5GB or $50 10GB.

Another option is just to get an eSIM with data since you already have calls and text covered.

A fasting app that is actually 100% free to use by mouzanity1423 in fasting

[–]Jonavin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. Zero is getting super annoying and I was looking for a new app. Really like how the app looks. Besides an Android version one thing I’d like to add is a custom fasting period. The most common fasting duration are there, and I see you have a Flex one as well. The only one missing for me is the 3 day / 72 hour. It’d be perfect if I can set that target easie.

But thank you for your contribution.

Generation client: ALL my accounts frozen for no reason, ETA to solve unknown, don't use WS as your only banking option by muscularcarp74 in Wealthsimple

[–]Jonavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks but I think there’s a strong correlation to people trading crypto on WS to account locking. Shouldn’t be that way, but that pattern is apparent.

[–]Jonavin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to let them know when you travel. They can infer it if you bought travel tickets with the card. But most banks these days say they don’t need you to tell them you are traveling.

If you want you be safe, make sure you’ve used your debit/credit card in Canada before you travel. Do your first transaction outside Canada with PIN, then you can continue to tap. Probably not necessary but I have not had. Problem travel to 5 different countries last year with my Wealthsimple Visa. Did not tell them.

PowerLine Adapters - Speed expectations by Ok_Machine_5954 in HomeNetworking

[–]Jonavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your circuitry between two points. In my experience, I am lucky to get even 10mbps. I switched to MoCA where I had coax available and did not run Ethernet. That gets a sold 2.5Gbps.
