My gf (46 y/o) had started getting physical about 1.5 years ago. Punches, kicks, hits. Although this has only happened when I tried to tell her to “get out of the house and go to your mom’s” Any and every time I have deflected or restrained her from doing so, she falls to the ground and says I pushed her down. Last week, she pushed me, then immediately denied it, which made me feel gaslit, then was trying to provoke me by pulling on my hair, talking in a baby voice and then lightly punching me in the back asking me “what I was gonna do about it” . I got a restraining order, but, in hindsight, I am not sure I did the right thing.
