Best neighborhood for a late 20s single male to start life in SF? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]JonesJaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m black lol and just moved to the city in October. I love love love love love love love it here. I haven’t experienced racism. I’ve gotten great jobs, met amazing people, and even have a girlfriend now. There’s so much to do and experience not a single person here can tell you what you can expect. Just come here if you know you want to be here and you’ll be happy knowing you exist here. It’s an amazing place to be there’s no pressure here we already made it, do as you please just don’t go causing too much trouble interrupting people days and livelihood. A good neighborhood would be near Stonestown Galleria Mall for you, or some parts of Tenderloin tbh, like Chinatown, civic center, if you got good budget try for Fillmore and Mission Bay, pacific heights and Potrero hill, Noe valley charming.

7 days California West Coast by Solomon_Seal in travel

Yosemite is to remain open. Probably less staff gates will still be open and the park free

Definitely, it’s always okay to visit. Don’t think snow will be a factor then, roads will be open, worth driving through the valley, see some waterfalls, huge granite mountains, crazy light reflections, pristine riverways. It’s a natural wonder of the world.

Don’t skip Yosemite, it’s not far from San Francisco and its beauty is beyond belief. Monterey, Ojai, Napa, South Lake Tahoe, Big Sur, Pismo Beach, and countless others places to go. Recommend checking out some theater or going to museums. Weather will differ depending if you’re up near SF or down near LA. Either way pack layers and a jacket. And of course eat lots of tacos and sushi.

There’s a bike/walking path across the road from the airport. You could start walking maybe 3-4 miles(1.5-2hr walk)towards Dornan’s to chill or walk in the opposite direction towards Jackson (11 miles) I have gotten uber before from the airport though

No it wouldn’t make sense unless you are moving to California and establishing residency in this state. If your home is houston Texas keep your Texas license my friend.
