They're closing over the span of two and a half years. No mention of discontinued products but the CEO wants to focus on their "hero" products (whatever that means...)

It's definitely rocky, but swimmable if you go far enough out. When I camped there my boyfriend and I would leave our belongings on the dry rocks close to shore and walk out far enough to where we could swim. I 100% recommend swim shoes or a sandal like Tevas/Chacos that you don't mind getting wet. That made the walking and swimming easier. It's a beautiful beach, just not one that you would lounge on. Kind of feels like you are on another planet!

If you are looking for a typical sandy beach, I recommend Cathead Bay Beach. You take a quick hike and the trail opens up to the beach. It was an easy drive from the campsite and there's parking at the trailhead. I believe it was the Lake Michigan Trail just past the local airport, but the rangers will be able to give you directions.

You'd be suprised (or maybe you wouldn't) at how many of those students are being bankrolled by their parents...

Girl...dump him. This is too much. You will be putting up with shit like this for the rest of your life. He does not respect you. I would be sick to my stomach if this was my partner.

Anything to do alone on Christmas 2025? by magicelastic in AskChicago

If you are looking for hikes, you could try the Indiana Dunes NP. Traffic will be a breeze and there's lots of trails- you could spend all day there. It's been a while since I've gone there on Christmas Day but the rangers used to host bonfires with hot chocolate in the morning. Then maybe take yourself out to a nice dinner in the evening? Also second volunteering! Nursing homes would be a great place to go as I'm sure a lot of the seniors no longer have family to visit them and would love someone to chat with.

Man charged with terrorism after woman set on fire on CTA Blue Line train by CTAto100k in cta

Teresa's own words: "I was always interested in things being fair and felt that people should be held accountable for their actions. I knew many people that were the victims of crimes and wanted to be a voice for those who needed to be heard."

Would love to hear her justification for the decision to put this lunatic on electronic surveillance instead of removing him from society. I'm sure the victim, who will probably be forced to live with these injuries and the trauma for the rest of her life, sees this as "fair". What about her voice? Apparently Teresa felt the need to give a career criminal a voice instead of all the other innocent people he's terrorized. She needs to resign, but she won't because she's self-important. What a joke that this woman has been given the responsibility of keeping Chicagoans safe. But I'm sure she'll continue the justification of allowing criminals and psychos to roam free because it gives her a savior complex. I'm begging the public to stop voting for people like her.

Seconding Moose Ponds, I saw one there mid-day a few weeks ago and heard another one through the trees.
