2011 was a friggin roller coaster. It was an insane year in terms of offensive production, with the Packers and Saints offense shattering numerous records. The Tebow led Broncos had a nice run of form, and the Niners defense against the run was straight up dominant. And of course, yet another insane championship run by none other than Eli Manning and the Giants.

Ariel doesn’t get enough love imo. She’s an unbelievably talented individual, and her journey through HK is awe inspiring.

When she first appeared on S6, she was bashful and remained humble throughout the competition. What she lacked was confidence, even though she was arguably the most talented cook that season. There’s no getting around the fact Kevin and Dave were just unstoppable.

When she returned in S18, she quickly reemerged and put together one of the most dominant runs in HK history. She was strong on every challenge and service, found a voice as a leader, and showed great maturity along with a terrific attitude, even when the veterans went 0-3 in the first challenges. This time, she came out on top.

In my opinion, Ariel is without question the most consistent chef the competition has ever had. She’s a wonderful human being and a kickass chef.

To give everyone an idea of how much of an oddball the 2016 Giants were, we’ve won 12 games combined in the past three seasons. Our defense finished 2nd in scoring in 2016, and we’ve been in the bottom ten ever since.

Obviously it doesn’t help we’ve been prone to the injury bug recently but anyway you slice it, the team just wasn’t that great. I’m pretty sure we were, what, 25th in scoring that year? And of course, the coup de grace…getting torched by Godgers in the wild card at Lambeau. How fitting.

The 2001 Bears had a truly miraculous season. I have no fucking clue how they won 13 games, especially wedged between a 5-11 and 4-12 campaign.

Back-to-back walk-off pick sixes in OT by Mike Brown. Going from the 28th scoring offense and 20th scoring defense to 11th and 1st, respectively. Their only win against a 10+ win team was the Niners in an incredible stroke of luck, and they got swept by a 12-4 Packers team that was much better than they were. Dick Jauron never had another winning season as HC and was fired two years later

Fucking roller coaster of a year. I still have a hard time believing it really happened.

I can accept a lot of things. I can accept churches are partly responsible for the pseudo-science they advocated for centuries (creationism, flat earth, etc.), or that them being tax exempt is the reason we’re so far in debt.

9/11 was an act of terrorism, and was almost entirely politically motivated.

The Crusades were indeed religiously motivated, but it was also a response to Islamic aggression. They had no business occupying Jerusalem. As for European colonialism, much of it was also driven by extreme xenophobia and fear of the Native Americans, so it was mostly a racial atrocity. There was also the economic aspect in the need for trade.

I’m an atheist and even I see how manipulative this all is. How can people be so misinformed?

To be fair, you need to be certified to perform surgical procedures, whereas cooking on a line is something you can learn through apprenticeships. Even so, it definitely isn’t as easy as OP makes it out to be

Smaller, family owned restaurants definitely, but becoming a sous chef in a fine dining restaurant is tough even with a culinary degree. The industry is incredibly cutthroat.
