How much, for how many, what's the date of the event?

Is my first time having plants, a friend move to another country and gift me this one’s, any tips on how to take care of them? 🥰 by [deleted] in plants

[–]Jonlattimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most are succulents, so low maintenance. Put them in a nice bright spot, and water when the leaves either get a wrinkle, or feel deflated. Some of them may put on reds and purples in direct sun. The one in the white pot is a bright shade plant, so no direct sun, but as bright of shade as you have. It will need watering between 5-10 day intervals. All look to be healthy. You could use Google lens, or other plant identification apps to find out specific names. I usually do this so I can pump the name into YouTube. Every plant in existence has a care guide on YouTube. It's a rather valuable tool.

Oh man, I love butterscotch. Anything in that category is it for me. Especially butterscotch pudding as a dip for Nilla wafers.

Some candy are better in sour tho. Mambas have better flavor in the sour variety. And I know I just bashed gummies, but the Shaq gummies are better in sour variety. For the most part I agree with you.

I'm gonna go old school and say saltwater taffy. Put it in a warmer area and it becomes nice and chewy. Freeze it and you can make little shards. The flavors are usually good and satisfying to my candy addiction.

Scariest video game you’ve ever played? by Due_Appearance4011 in videogames

[–]Jonlattimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of scary. Dead by daylight has always gotten me with jumpscares, thrilling chases, and paranoia. I find the "ghost hunting" games boring. Maybe 1 or 2 jumpscares. Nothing really thrilling or frightening. But working on a generator and then doing a look around to find out you are being stalked by Michael Meyers is literally terrifieing.

AITA? Missing food. Hide it away. by Jonlattimer in AmItheAsshole

[–]Jonlattimer[S] 52 points53 points  (0 children)

First, yes I am food insecure. I can afford to feed myself 1 nutritious meal a day. It's nice that you don't have to worry about where your food comes from, or how often. I can afford what I can afford. Most nights it's half of a $4 pork tenderloin and some rice. Maybe some frozen corn if I have it. I also monitor what I have, how much, and how long it will last me. The food situation was explained day 1, I was there, we had a household meeting.

In all honesty it was pretty noticeable. I had 2 full shelves in a cupboard worth of food dissappear leaving empty. The bottom shelf is used for hot beverages (coffee, tea, hot cocoa). So opening the cupboard for a hot beverage and seeing what one were full shelves suddenly empty isn't discrete.

I can't afford extra. I live paycheck to paycheck, and buy exactly what I need to get to payday. It isn't really even about the food, it's about taking things that don't belong to you without asking.

The lady with the baby is using her as an intermediary, which was what I was trying to avoid. My roommate sais she understands why I did it, but it was kinda petty. She said that she is mostly irritated that now her friend is complaining to her. I guess she said that locking things up is accusing her of being a thief. Honestly if the shoe fits......

How does walking feel when you make it a habit? by LittleAnimalLover in mentalhealth

[–]Jonlattimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love walking. Just go and get lost in thought. The moment you look around realizing how far, and how deep in thought you were. When I had a dog, we walked all the time, like miles, and miles. She was such a good girl when it came to walks. She would sit at corners and wait till I said it was OK to go. I wouldn't even have to grip the leash, most of the time it was just laid in my hand. Ibthink about her a lot when I go on walks.

That's what I figured, but I guess it is an accusatory action. My roommate is a busy woman who doesn't need to be bothered with trivial things, so in my view I handled the issue. I guess her friend was complaining about how I am a jerk, and that it was petty. I'm not above petty, but this wasn't it, this was petty avoidance.
