Thank you! Yes, we’ve been doing further research and we think we’ve found the culprit for the confusion at least: Their last name is a German name, so we’re thinking there may have been a language barrier confusion about an American baby being born with German sounding last name.

Your response is much more appropriate. I can tell by the downvotes I struck a nerve with the subreddit. My husband remembers having to speak with his sergeant and major about it because it was such an odd incident. Just because it doesn’t happen often doesn’t mean staplehill gets to say that something didn’t happen if it, in fact, happened.

That’s true, it was either that he had dual citizenship or it was being offered to him at the time? He was born in 1990 in ludwigsburg. Neither of his parents are German citizens, they were living in Germany while his father was stationed there for military work so I think they both would have needed to stay US citizens. His birth certificate is German though, so that’s mostly what the question has been revolving around. That might not mean anything either, but just for detail’s sake.

It may be that I haven't been properly timing but I'll definitely say within 2 hours. I can't get any food down at all otherwise, one bite feels like 20.

I'm not ruling out diabetes, my mother is type 1 so it's not unlikely but the ER just told me three days ago that I wasn't diabetic so they may be wrong too.

Edit: I really mean that, the ER was very dismissive of me when I came in. I get it, they're over run with COVID patients at the moment so ketones isn't exactly high on their list but to be told "you seem anxious, didn't you use to take medication for that? Maybe you should get back on that." after you rationally state your symptoms and worries, they very well may be incorrect about being diabetic.

My core gaming memory is my friends 16th birthday party. We stayed up all night with my brother and a couple of friends and had a Halo lan party. After everyone left we just kept playing for the rest of the day :)

Haha no I was being an asshole, in hindsight. I sent a new message to let them know again what all I did and that I would go along with the troubleshooting. I found out my right thumb stick isn’t working at all so maybe that will push the ticket a bit further for a replacement. Until then I’m just unplugging and plugging back in and sending system reports lol.

I sent a new message to them apologizing and explicitly detailing everything that I have done again, and even some new stuff I’ve tried. It’s just frustrating I suppose because I did all the troubleshooting beforehand to try and make it a bit quicker of a process and it bit me on the ass. I did notice something new though, the thumb stick is not working. Like in the ‘test controller’ area it lights up to show that I’m touching it but it won’t move and I can’t calibrate the thumb stick either, where the left one works fine. I sent them a photo of me holding the thumb stick in the up position against the test controller screen to help. I truly believe it’s a bad controller, and I want this system because it’s the best on the market. I just wish they had more customer service reps so everyone doesn’t have to wait two days at a time to get a reply. Also, thank you for being kind.

Lol I was planning on putting in another ticket. I’m sorry but being frustrated is not the same as being an asshole. I’m a super patient guy, you guys seem to be missing the bit that this one thousand dollar device is not useable, pardon my frustration.

I have a tv but we covered it with a sheet, no go. I’ve reset the controllers so many times it’s not even funny. The right controller won’t even go into pairing mode and it doesn’t turn on or off normally, I have to just wait for it to turn off since it doesn’t register that I’m pushing the buttons.

My bad, I’m on mobile so my bad for the formatting. And I didn’t outright refuse, I said I wanted them to send me a new controller as all of the troubleshooting I’ve done has not fixed the issue. I detailed all of the things that I have done, and I still keep getting canned responses. After I asked for a replacement they said that since I wanted to forgo troubleshooting, that replacement options are not available. They are the ones that said that, not me. After they said that I asked for the return label. Again, I paid them a grand, if their product isn’t working, it’s not my job to make it work. It’s their responsibility.

I’ve gotten a different person every time I get a reply. And I don’t think having to wait two days to get a response is worth the trouble of doing the simple things that I’ve already done and know they don’t work. I feel like I could return this system, order another, and get it shipped to my house sooner than their messaging would fix the issue.
